I know he does charity work. Good for him. I still hate the bastard. When I look at longhorn, I go "Fuck what does this guy think he's doing? He's going to fuckup my favortie hobby!(life obsession, whatever)" I hope its not widely supported but I know how it works. Software developers are like sheep, they follow the leader, even if that leader leads them out onto the road. Dont try to lay this "Your jealous of Bill Gates. He's a great guy. You should praise him" (Sorry Im not a Satanist) For what? Destroying any chance of competition, creativity and quality in the software market? Creating buggy software that most are forced to use because it is simply the one with the most support? Yes I can respect his accomplishments. Billionaire, software empire, DOS, wife + kids etc. But that doesnt mean I should respect and love him. I dont even know him. That means that I am free to critisize him at any point because the only way I know him is from using Windows and Frontpage and *shudder* MSN Messenger. If he created a respectable, stable, mostly bug free piece of software like, say UT2K3 (This is only based on my limited observations, if it not a good chunk o' code, buzz me and Ill change it) But when I use Mr. Gates proggies, I dont get that feel. Im just waiting for the first freeze up, registry error, IE crash, window's explorer lock up, MSN Messenger hose over, etc of the day. I'm never dissapointed.

Matt, you didn't address any of Mike's points, you just took something he said and assumed what he meant. Try to read the arguments before replying, all of his points were valid and well backed, try to do the same.

While you do make a valid point about me not having to install Longhorn, my beef is that one day Win98 will be outdated and unsupported. Then what will I have? XP? XP is not that great of an os either. Hell, what am I saying?!? I'll have linux!
