KTPPG Field Rules

Post by [PX]IronFist »

General Rules which must be followed while playing at KTPPG.

Marker Safetied:
All markers must be set on 'Safe' except during play intervals or in designated areas.

Masks:
Masks must be on during active play intervals and in designated areas.

Barrel Sleeves & Plugs:
The use of these devices is highly recommended but optional.

Minimum distance
A player who advances to within minimum range (10ft) should offer his opponent the chance to surrender before shooting. This rule is flexible; surrenders are optional to offer and accept. But if you get the drop on someone from behind, please be kind. Those offering surrenders are displaying good sportsmanship. Please don't reward them by shooting them at close range.

Barrel Tagging:
Automatic out for the tagged player, no exceptions. If you are barrel tagged, please leave the field quietly to aid your opponents stealthiness.

Outs:
Players are responsible for ensuring that other players know when they are out. A hit player should raise their marker in the air over their head and a loud verbal announcement of "Out" or "Hit" should be made to ensure your status is known. Failing to do this may result in the player acquiring further hits. While moving around the field, continue to hold your marker above your head, or one of your hands on your head if your marker is heavy.

Bonus Balling:
Once you know that another player is out shooting them further is not permitted.

Moving/Carrying Objects:
While in the play area anything you are moving/carrying is considered and extension of your body and if hit counts as an out. This includes your paintball marker and any gear you might be wearing, but could also include anything you pick up or move such as a piece of wood/plywood, a barrel, pod, etc...

Assisted Firing/Full Auto:
Because of the nature of the field and the modes we play (involving close quarters combat, blind corners, and suprise assaults) fully automatic, response triggers, and ramping is not allowed. If you have a gun with these modes you must use it in semi-auto mode while playing on the field. Due to the speed in which the trigger can be pulled on an electronic marker, a limit of 10 balls per second is recommended even in semi-auto mode.

No Firing In/Towards The No Fire Zone:
This zone is clearly marked on the KTPPG map and includes the area with the house and the parking area. People in this zone do not always have the proper gear equipped and could be seriously injured by paintball fire.

No Blind Fire:
Players must always have a line of sight in the direction they are firing their marker.

Video Recording:
General video recording is permissible with the agreement of the players involved. Please limit video recording to the playing area only, and not the staging area.

Audio Recording:
General audio recording is not allowed. Individual audio recording in a interview format is permissible with the agreement of the players involved.
