Subscriptions

I will like to lobby for thread subscriptions and individual post linkage. If this is all available with the new board upgrade coming up, just ignore this.

Can you explain what you just said in non-computer speak? I have clue what you just said...And if it involves paying money I'd like to know

Subscriptions are, for example, a way to better track threads. Say I wanted to follow all the talk going on in a thread located in the General Discussion area. I would go to the button commonly called Thread Tools in that thread and down would pop a menu (this is how it works in vbulletin, anyways). You would choose a subscription to the thread. Then, in your Profile section that thread will be listed so you can just click on it and go straight to it without searching. You can also have it email your account everytime somebody replies in the thread (or every day, every week, etc.).

No money is involved.

The second one places a link in each post. The first post is #1, the second is #2, and so on. That way when you want to quickly reference a post, you can place that link in your reply. It's just an advanced version of a quote that allows to better show what you which to reference.
