Medical Utility Bag

I'll stick with Jon's format, as it shouldn't get too crowded with all three categories.

Medical Utility Bag

Post by Samurai »

This advanced medical kit contains several of the most common medicines required on the battlefield. The bag holds 20 doses of medicine, which can be swapped in and out of the bag to accommodate a wide range of ailments.

Standard Contents:

5 x Pain killer
(This reduces the penalty of an injured character by one level [1D]. The use of pain killers requires a moderate first aid roll, or a very easy medicine roll. The difficulty increases by one level for every pain killer used within 24 hours. If 3 doses are used within 24 hours the patient must make a moderate stamina check to see if he/she has overdosed. The difficulty of the Stamina check increases one level for every additional pain killer used. If an overdose occurs, an antidote must be administered within 1D rounds or the patient's condition worsens one level.)

5 x Stimulant
(Stimulants can be used to revive an unconscious character with a Moderate First Aid roll, or a very Easy Medicine Roll. The difficulty increases 1 level for every use within 24 hours. If the roll fails, the unconscious character is rendered comatosed for 2D hours, due to complications. The character can attempt to wake up with a moderate strength/willpower roll. Stimulants can be used in an overdose to poison a character, possibly causing heart failure, or stroke. The difficulty to resist the overdose increases one level for every stimulant used.)

5 x Sedative
(Sedatives are used to render a character unconscious. If a sedative is used on a mortally wounded character it can stabilize them and prevent death by putting them in a state of hybernation. To use a sedative a character must make an easy First Aid, or a very easy Medicine roll. If the character is not injured or does not wish to be rendered unconscious the difficulty is a moderate stamina/willpower roll, modified by the number of sedatives used. Three sedatives will require a very difficult roll to resist, and if the character is unlucky they could die from excessive slowing of bodily functions. 4 sedatives will kill a character unless they succeed at a difficult stamina/willpower roll. Even if they succeed they will be rendered unconscious for 3D hours.)

5 x Generic Antidote
(Generic Antidotes are safe for use at any dosage, and require an easy first aid roll for use. They cure most popular poisons. They can be taken as a preemptive measure against poisoning, and last for 24 hours or until the character is poisoned. There have been reports that with large enough doses, people can become immune to various poisons, but which type is completely random.)
Until you find something worth dying for, you're not really living.
