Router Question

I just have a quick question anbout my router's settings now that I'm on DSL. Execulink doesn't officially support routers, so you have to be lucky to get help from someone who does. ANyways, my internet works fine, obviously since I'm posting this, but my router info page reports this:

IP Address ----------------- 66.203.189.48 --- PPPoE
Subnet Mask -------------- 255.255.255.255
Gateway ------------------- 66.203.189.48
Domain Name Server ---- 199.166.6.2, 209.239.11.98
Connection Time ---------- 00:00:13

Modem ---------------------- Not ready

Question 1: Why is the gateway IP the same as my IP? It is even if I reconnect. It was different with Cable.

Question 2: The subnet mask. I forget what it was with Cable, but now it's 255.255.255.255 and I thought that was the LAN subnet.

Anyways, if these questions are stupid, or make no sence, simply point it out, don't exagerate. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated, but as I said, my internet works fine now, the settings just confuse me.

I take that you have entered your Username and Password into the Router.

What Router is it?

It's a D-Link / DI-704, and yes, I entered the username password and ISP name.

are you using the Execulink connection utilities right now? Sorry if this is a dumb question,... I like tequila!!!,... but, yah... la la la.

Anyway, is the firmware updated? I have heard of similar problems if it is not.

oh, on a side note, no ISP "supports" routers of any kind. Lazy buggers.

Execulink connection utilities? On my desktop? no. just the router. As I said, the internet works fine, it's just wierd settings.
