Big ass snow fort!

Post by [Fallen]Thanatos »

my cuz and I are building a big ass snow fort in the back yard.

So far the walls are about 5-6 feet high, about 2 feet thick and its in a circle. with about a 20m radious. you can fit about 15-20 people in this thing right now. our goal is to get it 8-9 feet high then we are gona phone the newPL and see if we can get on the news.

I will post pics as soon as its done and i get the pics off my cuz.

No top because we have a fire pit in the middle of this thing, I know we could have a chimny but hay we are all not "Enginers" here and my cuz has kids so we would rather not have the roof cave in on them.

sorry no mounted M-60 ether, (unless you can get me one under$100)

Chimney wouldn't be all that hard to implement. Plywood with a thick clay plaster coating and a small fire would be do-able.

Actually, if you seal the fort completely you can get temperatures up to -1 C without a fire. What with coats, hats, mitts, etc. that would be very tolerable.

Though, if ya want the fire for a weenie roast...........

True.

And seeing how the fort is made for defence and fun (I pressume) the ensuing warmth point I would bring out is null.

So go finish it so we can have a snowball fight when I come home. ;)

I don't know about you guys, but around here the snow isn't really of the packing variety. How are you keeping this thing together?
Is it made of snowballs or blocks of snow.
