Network pics

Post by [Fallen]Thumperup »

Hey guys,

I have an idea, but you all have to help.

I want to create in network notepad, how each of us is connected to the internet, and make one big diagram of the groups networks.

Updates:
Redoing

Updated File = Down

All Lan's Zipped = Down

Image So Far

Note: I am not displaying IP's on the picture
Note: I will also space it out better too when completed

OR what you could do is just describe your network situation and i'll put it in.

I know some don't want to take the hassel to do it.

Although this way will be harder to do because you have to explain everything on the network like what device is connected to what.

Example:

Nathan > Cable Internet > cable router > 2 connections > computer pinter with Epson printer attached > 75 feet up to 5 port 10/100 switch > Fileserver, Pintergame, and e-machine connected > linux box sitting by itself

This is a pretty cool idea.

Ok, Just a few corrections to my layout.

We have a DSL modem now, not cable.
There are 4 computers here connected to the router.
If you want to name the computers by the guys gaming names then they are:
[PX]IronFist (obviousally)
KingAss
Potter
BlankPage

Router is a 4 port Linksys

If you want to put the address it's 214 Westcourt Place, and it's a town house but I don't know if they have a pic of that.

even though me and Nate's setup have the exact same amount of things.

Modem
Router
2 Switches (I should have 2, I'm getting that one from Jason.)
4 PCs
1 Server
and a device attatched to one PC
actually, Mike and Andrew both have network enabled printers, but their not on the diagram.

2 reasons ours takes up more room

1) I havn't spaced everything out
2) Both of our Networks takes up a large portion of space so i'm trying to show that.
