What with my current financial situation I'd recommend used, but to each their own.
Well, the Cavalier's almost as fast as the Turbo Monte Carlo, eh?
Ah, dream cars..............

Awsome, the Cavalier is a great car, and we all have so many fond memories of the old cav.
Plus they have the same engine as the Sunfire so it is really easy to find engine mods for.
The Monte Carlo is only twice as much too.
Actually If I was going to get a car like that I think I would get one of the new GTO's. They come standard with a 350hp V8.

I have changed my mind im getting a 2004 cav now
they have a beefed up HP thy now come with 140 insted of 120 and my payments will be cheeper.
It said about $169 a month so when you put tax and fees on it about $200 a month then insurance will be about $200 for me,(I phoned in) so $400 a month for a car thats sweet i can afford it since I bring in $1600 a mont now its great

I am pretty sure that the Carlo uses the same V6 that's in the LeSaber, the Park Ave, and the Regal, the 3800 (infact you can even get the Park Ave or the Regal Supercharged as well so it is probably the exact same setup). According to GM the 3800 Supercharged V6 puts out 280 ft/lbs of torque.
The GTO's V8 comes in at 365 ft/lbs, which would give you alot more power in the low end. Apparently it can also do 0-60 in 5.3 seconds.
As for the price I have know idea what the GTO costs, the Monte Carlo comes in at around 37Gs, but the GTO could run upwards of 50. On the otherhand I don't know how much they want it to compete with the Corvette, so it could be less.
