you wanna here a story OK

Story Time:

Once apon a story there was a college with all D-Link Network cards. Each Card one by one was dieing slowly. The Hero (Lets call him Teacher) decided it was time the college change these cards. A Pesent (Student) came to him and said Realtek is far better Hero, why doesn't the class replace most of them.

Thats a good idea, the Network cards were changed and the room of 205 lived happily ever after without Packet loss.

Thats odd since Realtek network cards are probably the crappiest name brand you can buy.

for me it's all about this: $15 for a d-link NIC, and zero, none, no problems ever. and my router has never needed any configuring past opening ports or DMZ usage

Actually, Realtek has come a long ways in a lot of their endeavors. Take their sound solutions, for example. Even the Nforce2 Soundstorm used those chips for the analog out on their sound solution.

Their sound has improved yes. But their networking solutions havent changed much as far as I know. If this isnt the case, I stand corrected.

Realtek cards are all I use.

and your quote neb Westervelt is a great school you just don't know what your talking about.

Just because any D-link cards you've only delt with havn't died, doesn't mean they don't suck this could be a fluke seeing as you've probably only delt with like 5.

Bow down to me Bitch.

Yes Im sure Westervelt is a great school if all you want is your A+ certification... Which means almost nothing...

Fine use all realtek cards. If I wanted to buy quality hardware, I'd by from Cisco. Realtek, Dlink, 3Com... Its all the same pretty well.

Fuck you and all your worth Paul, As I recall going to your house alittle while ago with Gray to do the monitor.

I saw an error about no floppy Drive on boot up. Hmmm I thought, thats odd Paul is normally good at simple computer things.

I then take a closer look finding the floppy cable was on backwords.

Possible Excuses Paul might come up with.

I was in a hurry
They don't use it anyway.
It's only my parents computer.
I don't like hardware anyway.
This is a windows machine i'm a linux guy, why do I care.

Well yes you're right. The floppy cable was on backwards. Here are the reasons I give.

1. I dont do that for a living. So why should I give 2 shits if the floppy cable wasnt on right? THe computer booted, thats all they need.

2. Its not mine, why do I care?

3. Its a windows machine. I run a superior operating system. I dont care.

4. When was the last time you used a floppy disk? Yah thats what I thought.

Perhaps if I built and fixed computers for a living, I might have spent more thant 10 minutes on my parents machine. As it stands, I dont. So I didnt. It did what they needed and that was good enough for me. If the problem was major enough I would have spent the time to fix it.

Just for fun.

I wasn't going to bring up that story and bash, but you pushed me with the Westervelt and A+ thing.

Sorry if I went too far.
