That's pretty cool, and it is a really simple design as well. It actually looks less complicated than the potato gun, although it is of a much studier construction which would require welding. I wonder where the guy gets all the bowling balls though...

Welding shouldn't be that big of a worry. Heck, I've seen some really high powered potato canons that require it. Though, shooting metal bolts through doors made those potato canons a bit more robust than most.
