Kill Bill

Post by Dempsey »

Kill Bill Part 2 - February 20th :(
When Steven Seagal kills a ninja, he only takes its hide. When Chuck Norris kills a ninja, he uses every part.

Chuck Norris and Mr. T walked into a bar. The bar was instantly destroyed, as that level of awesome cannot be contained in one building.

Intersting film. Clever blend of various styles to make for an engaging film. Gore is over the top to the point that its ridiculous. Fight scenes are way better than the Matrix by far. Uma Thurman and Lucy Lui are still smoking hot! Overall I would give this film a 4.5/5. It would have recieved a five if they had released the whole damn thing in one shot.

I would have to agree that this movie was quite excellent, the blending of styles really worked out well. The massive amounts of blood was a little distracting at first but once I got used to it I think that the film was better for it. The whole movie was over the top and if the gore had been represented in a realistic fashion I think it would have taken away more than it added.
I do wish that we didn't have to wait until february for the next one, I would have gladly watched another 2 hours.

I have reciently heard rumors that where the first half of this film was a Kung-Fu movie the second half will be a Western. Tarantino paying homage to his two favorite generas, that could be interesting, although I really enjoyed the Kung-Fu aspect and I would be sad to see it go.

Says Tarantino "Vol 1 is, for lack of a better term, my eastern with a western influence, a spaghetti western influence. Vol 2 is my spaghetti western with an eastern influence."

I guess, but I can't see how anyone could really hate this film. Even if you didn't like the rest of it, the action sequences alone are enough to make it worth seeing.

I havent talked to a single person who saw it that hasnt liked it.

I personally think the people who dont like it are unaware of Quentin Tarentino's style and his goal in making this film.

People do have different views on things, If some people dont like it thats fine, I have talked to 6 people that hated the movie.

Hell sometimes a movie will get great reviews and I still hated it. Example AI and 6th sence. I hated those movies.

the point remains that if this were made by anyone other than Tarentino, people would say "what the fuck is that?" but with him at the wheel they should just sit back and enjoy the genious that is QT

I could see not liking AI, but the sixth sense was pretty main stream, why didn't you like it? did you know the ending before hand?
