(i know i know a lot of stupid posts in one day but I havent had anything to do today except read....)
anyways story goes like this...
Rob Ford is being locked out of his office as well as being fined after the city council voted 26-10. What did they vote on?
Concilors are prohibited from "using their own money to pay for postage, photcopying and other costs". The recieve $53k a year for those specific costs.
"...Ford refuses to comply with the measure, the city's ethics committee should take charge of the issue"
The vote now gives councilors the right to order a colleague not to use their own money but Ford insisted he will continue using his own cash to cover office expenses regardless.
How much of the budget did he use? well I had to do some digging for this but I have confirmed that during 2002 he used only $2 out of 53K...
interestingly enough the councilor that is backing action against for spent $35k in the FIRST HALF of 2002... interesting...
