Mission One

You are flying through the darkness of space. A Nebulon B frigate floats just outside the stardbord viewport. Bendox is in his trusty X-wing Red 11, Liox and Sian are in a Ghtroc frighter nearby. You recieve a communication from the frigate, it is from General Raden, Bendox's current commander..

"Gentlemen, The situation is this - The rebellion is trying to capture a Mercenary by the name of Greng Bring. We suspect that he has been sabotaging rebel operations in this sector for some time, and we want him brought into custody.
Now Liox, I know that you think that you can handle this by yourself, but this guy is dangerous, and there is no shame in needing a little backup. We hired Rain because he has an excellent reputation as a bounty hunter, and I am sure he can help you bring this guy in - alive.
Bendox - your job is to fly cover for the freighter, it's not in the best shape so it's up to you to make sure that it comes back in one piece. We would send another fighter with you but the Rebellion just can't spare that many people right now.
Greng was last seen on Sigma 5, a space station orbiting the planet Sigma Erandi. We have a contact on the station who will meet you at the Sigma Sprinkler, a local bar. He will fill you in on the specifics of the mission. We have pre-arranged a signal for him to identify you. Once you enter the bar, you must all spill your drinks at the same time.
Liox and Sian, I have sent the coordiantes of Sigma 5 to your nav computer. Bendox, we had Sparky(GM:bendox's R2 unit) programmed with them before you left. This mission is imperitave to the survival of the Alliance. Good Luck, and may the force be with you"

You Jump to Hyperspace.

THe stats for the ships are in the Ships section under
Bendox Ven's Red 11 and Damaged Rebel Alliance Ghtroc Industries Freighter

Liox - The rebellion will reward you with 2500 credits for your services if you capture Greng, however since you have no ship the rebellion loaned you this freighter, but you had to put down a 20,000 credit security deposit (which the alliance bank loaned you). If it is returned in one piece the bank gets their deposit back, otherwise you owe them. If you kill Greng, you only get 500.

Sian - The rebellion has agreed to pay you a bounty of 3500 for Greng's Capture, if he is still alive. If you bring proof of his death, the bounty is only 500.

Bendox - The rebellion hs agreed to keep paying you your weekly wage of 425 credits for your help.

The motted white of hyperspace fades to black and you arrive at Sigma Erandi. Nine space stations orbit the small planet, The center one is twice the size of all the others and it is bracketed by four of the smaller stations on each side. Two small craft are approaching, they appear to be on an intercept course.

Liox and Rain - The smell of what seems to be burning electrical components filters into the cabin.

I am looking around and trying to find what seems to be burning and where it is comming from... see if there is a fire or something and trying to put it out if there is one... looking at Liox and saying .. "hey get those ships on the radio.(not sure if there is a better term for radio.. com? you know what I mean... ) The sooner we get into this hell hole and back out the better" (please note everything is a hell hole to me)

Hmmmm
Im gona use sensors to see if i can indentify those ships comming in, If they are imperial or otherwise. Im also gona tell Sparky to put up the shields just in case. Wouldnt mind trying to see what kind of ships they are eather.

Movin infront of the friget to try to defend if need be.

(keeping hiddin weapions hidden for the time being) I would like the shields for now)

Realizing that something is not quite right here, Liox Jumps to his feet and declares:

"I'll see if I can get those ships on the com. Sian, see if you cant get that fire put out; or at least find where that smell is coming from!"

Liox quickly procceeds to the com terminal and tries to get those ships on the radio.

Rain -You follow the trail of smoke to the back of the ship where you find the hyperdrive is on fire. The exit from Hyperspace must have short-circuited the system, causing a melt down. You grab a nearby fire extinguisher and attempt to put out the fire.

GM: Operating the extinguisher is a mechanical skill, you have 2D+2. Fortunantly since the fire is small you only have to get over 7. You Roll a 3+2 = 5.

You are unsuccessful, the fire spreads to the navigation system.

Bendox - You move into position infront of the freighter and put up your shields. You can see from here that the ships appear to be Z-95 headhunters, you can't make out any markings from this distance. You attempt to scan the ships for more info.

GM: You use your sensors in the forward fire arc in search mode. This means that you get +2D to your sensors skill bringing it up to 6D. You have to beat 19. You roll 23.

The ships are definitely Z-95's and their transponders arn't giving out any kind of imperial signal that the alliance knows about. They appear to have larger shield and engine energy signatures than the average Z-95. Their shields are up.

Liox - The ships respond to your hail.
"This is the Sigma transport authority, until further notice all stations are closed to outside traffic by order of superintendent Breen. Please reverse your course immediatly, or you will be taken into custody and your ships will be confiscated."

Thinking quickly and assesing the situation, Liox makes a decision. Once again going to the com, Liox hails the Z95's and transmits the following message:

Sigma transport authority, we are on an important mission which cannot be disclosed at this time. Our work in your system will not disrupt the current balance of power. Please contact Superintendent Breen and relay our request to discuss terms of entrance with him. We will hold at our current location until you reply.

After this, Liox gets ahold of Bendox on the com and tells him to stand down and informs him of what has just transpired. Next, Liox attempts to stop the ship, all the while screaming, "Bloody piece of junk. Sian! Get that damned fire out. I cant afford to lose my loan of this pile of scrap!"

the words he says under his breath as he trys again are "well great...
just great...." Wile trying to put out the fire that now is on the navigation system and the hyperdrive...

I take Rain's advice and drop my shields, but stay inbetween them and the freighter. I stand by to dodge and tell Sparky that as soon at the first gun goes off to rais sheilds asap.

When talking to Rain i sudjest giving a bribe, if need be.

GM Edit: I assume you mean while talking to Liox. Rain is busy fighting a fire at the moment.

Liox - The ships respond.
"The superintendant will not dicuss terms with the likes of you. The only people allowed to enter or leave the station are those transporting essential goods. All others must be on the list, and I don't see any piece of crap freighters listed here. Leave immediatly or we will be forced to open fire."

Rain - The fire is spreading rapidly. You take your trusty extinguisher and attempt to put it out again.

GM: You now must roll over 9 to extinguish the fire. You roll 6+2 = 8.

The fire rages on, and your current extinguisher is now empty. The fire spreads to the nav-computer.

Bendox - The ships are closing in fast, you will be within their weapons range next round.

Ok if im in range of there Laser cannons then I will just tell Sparky to put up sheilds. If im in range of there Missles Im gona contact them and offer a Bribe of 300C.

If they open fire In gona dodge and tell Sparky to try to jam there coms so they cant radio back.

If i have time I wana contact Rain and tell him what im doin.

seeing that things are getting worse and that he is not making things any better Rain yells to Liox "hey get your Jedi ass back here with a few extinguishers.... things are starting to heat up! and I dont mean in a good way!!" Rain trys to find another extinguisher and uses it on the fire once again...

Abandoning the com, Liox rushes to the fire and grabs an extinguisher, desperatley trying to preserve his loan...

Bendox - You are in Range of their Laser cannons. Sparky puts up the shields. You recieve a hail:
"Attention unidentified fighter, stand down immediatly and reverse course. These stations are closed until further notice"
One of the Z-95's fires a shot which grazes the front of the freighter.

Liox - As you leave the cockpit you hear the com crackle to life:
"Listen, I don't have time for this crap. The station is closed, leave now or suffer the consequences. You have 30 seconds to comply."

Rain - Liox enters the cabin and tosses you an extinguisher. You work together to try to extinguish the fire.

GM: Since you are now fighting the fire together you each have to roll over 5.
Rain: you roll 9 + 2 = 11
Liox: you roll 7

The fire is out. The ship shudders with the impact of laser fire, it feels like a light hit, just a warning shot.

Im telling Sparky to jam there coms and im gona Lock X-Foils in attack possition. Im gona Return fire on the closest one.

I would Like to hail the second one for him to let us pass and there will be no more sensless violence.

Hearing the laser-fire, Liox screams in pain and anger and rushes back to the bridge. Quickly manning the navigation controls Liox tries VERY VERY hard to move the ship in some sort of attack pattern, without destroying the piece of junk.
