Yeah, as soon as i saw XLS i was like "extra large size". Good name for computer nerds.

But yeah, Xtreme anything deserves to be mocked until it dies, unless it was chosen with the purpose of mocking those who use "Xtreme" in seriousness. However, due to the vehemence of the defence for the name, I'd be forced to think that they, the XLSers, are for real. The name has no hook to me. Pimps are funny, in a way. Raven has a bit of history, and the no-nonsense approach to owning (your) ass. Mix Masters I found slightly amusing, cause yea, DJs are fun and all.

But XLS? Come on guys, you can do better. Please, do better.

Wow. You guys have all become children. You really have nothing better to do than to bicker about a clan name, how sad. The fact of the matter is, that it is our clan name, I came up with it, because it looked and sounded cool. It's that simple. I didn't chose it because it defined who we are, or how many people are in our clan. I chose it because I liked the way it sounded. The fact that the other clans don't like the name has no hold on if we keep the name or not. Why, you might ask? Because it is our clan name, and not yours. If we were makeing a clan name for you, not that we ever would make a clan name for children, we would care if you did or did not like it, because it is your clan name. I never, personly, liked the name PimpX. Why? Because I don't wish to be known as a pimp, in any of its meanings. If we were to go by your bashing rules for clan names. PimpX would be Ten Pimps. Well, I hate to break it to you guys, but your running short on clan memebers to be ten. Thus, if your going to use roman numerals after your name to denote the number of people in you clan, it should be changed. However, we all know that your clan did not chose X for its numeral form, you chose it because it sounded cool, that simple. Six was not origially inteded to represent the number of people in our clan, it simply sounded cool with the rest, thus, it is static, and will not be changeing to XLF (Xtream Legion Five).
From what I have heard about the message board of late makes me glad that I have been off of it for so long. It sounds as though it has gone extreamly downhill, and all that people seem to be doing is bickering. If you don't like our new clan name, fine, don't like it, we don't care. Why? Because we like it, that is why it was chosen.
On another note, I can no longer get into the Private XLS clan section (Bob), and I would like this ability to be replaced. I do not know why it was removed, perhaps it occured when I changed my '(TE)' to '(XLS)'.
On a final note, I hope that everyone here can grow up a little, and get along with each other. If you can't get along, well, that's your own problem to resolve with the people you don't get along with, in person. If you don't have the guts to say it to the person's face, then let it be. I am frankly quite disapointed that everyone has sunken so low as to fight about clan names.

Good to see you back Chris.

Personally, I never expected you to change your clan name, but eveyone is entitled to an opinion, even if it isn't the same as yours. I think that we all need to realize this and when someone like Paul says that he dosen't like your clan name you can just accept it and move on. I don't know why you really care what the other clans think anyway, it's not like Ghost is in your clan. If you guys are happy with your name that's all that matters.

The only reason that I didn't like the name is because of the use of the word Xtreme, I see that word everywhere these days and it gets kind of annoying. It is a little too pop-culture for our underground gaming world. In anycase, it shouldn't matter to you what I think about it (seeing as I am in another clan) and it's not like I am going to bring it up everytime I see you guys. For me, Clan Rivalry should really be saved for the Lan parties, the only place where it really matters.

Actualy the name PimpX was taken in honur of the PimpX warez web site. We used it since in the early days it was were we got more of our games.

Actually Bob's not kidding, we did take it from a warez site, it used to be a great site back in the day, back before peer to peer file sharing, back in the glory days of warez when only a select few actually knew what it was. Those were great times.
I don't think it exists anymore, we should try to buy the domain.
