Toyota and Honda have come out with some interesting accident prevention methods:

My only question is how does the Honda know what an accident is and what isn't? I don't want my car suddenly braking or even braking at all for no apparent reason. 300 feet is quite the range, too. Can you imagine the wear on your brakes if the car lightly tapped the pads everytime a vehicle was ahead of you in a 300 foot range?
