I was gona join up befor i even met Chantele but then she came into my life and well i had a reasion to stay, but now i realy have no reasion to stay but ya after my 3 years i will be able to start up my buissness full-time.
I would of prolly chosen demolition, but that's just me. Comp tech would've been my second choice. I'd recommend to start training now. You need to be able to a mile in 5 mins and 100 push ups in a min if I remember correctly. Those may also be American standards; I'm not sure.
A "mechie" is the short term for a mechanical engineer. Aerospace and mechanical engineers share many of the same courses. In fact, up 'til final year, one could argue that all of their courses are the same. In final year, aerospace students concentrate more on flight while mechanicals focus more on "earth-bound' things.
Mechanical engineers have a saying: "Jack of all trades; master of none."
"Mechie" can often be used as a derogatory statement by other engineering departments (ie. civil, electrical), often in jest. I kid my mechie friend all the time about being one; he teases me for being a civil (note the joke in the engineering thread about bombs and civil engineers for proof).
