Juit mod review:
Just waiting for eigenbarrels to be back in stock so I can order one of each (barrel and ram) for my 2k5'd lasoya which will then become my main marker (5/16" air transfer hole, bored out sleeve ports for 10-32 threaded barbs for 3/32" ID hose; I'll probably run some numbers on isothermal gas flow to see if a QEV on the front port is even worth considering, if so, I'll use it. Cupped face bolt. I know you'll cringe but it's been nothing but good to me: Evil front block for added volume/flow, though I might just tap it for alias front blocks; alias LPR, 'noid and sleeve, CCM feedneck, elbow barbs where usable, etc). I'm going all out on that one.

Juit, what are your HPR, LPR, and dwell settings with the Eigen ram, LP poppet, and Juit bolt? I'm just looking for a baseline for my own set up.
when My lurker ram used to live with my bolt 65 LPR 210 HPR HP valve lurker eigen barrel

today Im using LP valve, stock ram and bumper mode with eigen barrel

Gen 5 Eigenram in G6R with LP

http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php? ... t=eigenram
I read something about you need to modify the eigenram so it will work in the G6R. Is this true? And what is needed to be done?

Thanks, Jimmy
Basically I give you a gen3 spring, but you can simply cut the gen5 cpring to stock length and be done with it.

Gen 4 Eigenram + Eigenvalve setup:

http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php? ... t=eigenram
Having troubleshot a few of these recently, I'd say the best setup we're finding is:

1. Brass insert in
2. spring clipped down to 5 coils
3. LPR 45
4. Dwell 9-10
5. HPR to velocity

You can run an Intimidator with no spring on the poppet:

http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php? ... t=eigenram
You cannot run a gun without a poppit spring, I really hope you are not going to attempt that.
And why not?

I've done with it gen 2-3's and gen 5's..
lurkerpb told me that I could use it without until getting a spring from him, it may initially leak when aired on, but once shot it would seal. He said he tips the barrel upward when airing it on.

http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php? ... t=eigenram
On a different note and if you would like to try it-
I never used a poppet spring on my Gen3. Worked amazing.

I was one of the few who could achieve a consistent 300fps with an Orange Bolt and Eigenram combo.
I also used an evil front block for the Flow purposes.

I had mine at dwell 4, lpr 70psi, hpr 190psi. That was before he did some fixing to the ram though.

Installing a trigger stop on a stock trigger:
I used a 6/32 tap for the trigger. So whatever drill bit corresponds to that size. I do not remember exactly.

Standard air barb and hose dimensions:
Hose info –
5/32 OD & 5/64 ID

Barb Info –
3/32 OD & 3/64 ID (approximated – no specs available and cannot measure that small)
Rated flow 4.0 SCFM @ 125psi which is adequate to supply sufficient volume to a Humphrey solenoid with a dwell of 7 @ 60psi firing at 20+ bps. The solenoid would need to be modified to exceed the supplied volume of air from the barb to not be able to keep up with the demand. Adequate for any current tournament ROF caps.

I hope this helps. Regards, C

High / Hyper flow info.

http://www.pbreview.com/forums/showthread.php?t=392566
If you can fit an .050" allen key through the barb, it is high flow. However, for maximum flow, you want a barb which will fit a 1/16" allen key (as pictured)! These are the same inner diameter as Hybrid "Hyper Flow" barbs, for max flow.

http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=964933
Someone in some thread that I can't find says they asked for a quote on the stainless barbs from that company, and they were quoted $6 each. Airsoldier sells the brass versions of those but if you notice from the specs, the inner diameter (Hole Dia.) is 1.2 mm (3/64") or roughly ~0.047" for all of the barbs, the only thing that changes in the brass versions is the outer diameter of the barb hence the need for a larger ID hose.. and does absolutely nothing for airflow in that case.

The real question is.. what is the ID of the special order barbs that Bob Long uses with the 3 week wait time ?

And how do they compare with say.. a Hybrid kit's stainless barb ID (The only specs I ever saw on a Hybrid kit were from some fleabay auction where they were claimed to be .070" ID .. who knows if this is true though)
Correct. I had ordered a first batch at the size of the hybrid ones, the .070" ID and they were extremely weak. Even if they were stainless steel (which I believe the hybrid ones were), I was told by all the pneumatic companies that I spoke with that they were too thin. Then they explained the basic principles of it, we found the biggest size that we could safely get for an ID of the barbs, and it is the same size Bob has on his (same company as well, but I found them in a roundabout way).
its cool.. so without any specifics, we can safely guess that the barbs that Bob Long uses are between .050" (standard litmus test for high flow barbs, sticking a .050" hex wrench inside the passage) and .070" (large Hybrid). And even though the Hybrid is large at .070" ID, they are worthless because of their weakness and tendency to break. The best tradeoff for thread strength vs. airflow is somewhere between those two numbers
Airsoldier only sells the brass ones.. and if my calculations aren't horribly wrong, they are only .047" ID -- all of the brass ones are. The Airsoldier barbs wouldn't pass the .050" hex-wrench-inside-the-air-passage test, so they aren't even high flow. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

The stainless Beswick barbs, however, do have a range of increasing ID.
Yeah that's what I thought too, until I actually read all the specs on the Beswick site that freakfactoryimpulse posted

http://www.beswick.com/ViewPart.htm?PartID=127

These are the correct specs for Airsoldier's barbs, they even use the same exact Beswick part # as their part # on their site. So work with me here:

"M3 threaded hose barbs - available for 1/16" (1.6mm) ID hose (M3H-1012), 5/64" (2.0mm) ID hose (M3H-1016), or 3/32" (2.4mm) ID hose (M3H-1132). Sold in packs of 6."

Airsoldier never actually says that the inner diameter (ID) of the BARBS are larger.. it only says the barbs are compatible with various hose ID.

Now click the Beswick link I just posted, scroll down to:

Part # M3H-1012 -- See the "Hole Dia" arrow on the schematic? That's the Hole (air passage) diameter. Notice it says 1.2 mm (3/64") -- or roughly .047", under the "Hole Dia. Br" column. Br, means brass.. the other one is for their SS stainless steel fittings. We only want to look at Br for this.

Part # M3H-1016 -- hmm.. "Hole Dia. Br" says.. 1.2 mm (3/64")

Part # M3H-1132 -- WOW, "Hole Dia. Br" says.. 1.2 mm (3/64")

The ONLY thing that changes on these three parts, is actually the (D) Outside Diameter! It gets progressively thicker as the part numbers go up, hence the need for a larger hose ID! The actual passageway stays the same, and even though you might be using the thickest 3/32", 2.4mm ID hose.. all that air is still being restricted by the little 3/64", 1.2mm air passage!

All this isn't really clear without really looking at the schematic, and thinking about it. Airsoldier never says they have high flow barbs. They just have barbs that work with whatever ID hose you might happen to already have.

WHEW. Hope that helps.

http://www.mcarterbrown.com/forums/misc ... -hose.html
Package includes 6 High Flow Air Barbs (with washers) & 2 Feet of Solenoid Hose (1/4" Internal Diameter) - The exact color of hose I will be getting is unknown, but that makes no difference on the performance of the hose so who really cares!?

Gen4 Eigenvalve:

http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=4562545
Anyone care to share how they got their gen4 to shoot a decent velocity with the lurker internals. I've been able to obtain a max of 260 which should be fine but I'm not satisfied and that was with the dwell and lpr bumped a bit higher than they should be. But after that I dropped them back down. Tore apart and cleaned/lubed both regs and the noid. Also the longest hose seemed pinched a little so I moved it to the other side of the frame. And with that I have the dwell at 8, lpr at 60ish, hpr at 200ish and it was shooting right at 230.

I started with the ram with brass insert and the middle oring on the eigenvalve was leaking so I changed it to the bigger one that was on the stock poppet and I cut the lurker spring to 5 coils before I even started as I read everywhere that it should be 5 coils.

To be honest I was never getting much higher than 260 with the stock internals but it shot so smooth I thought I'd get the lurker parts if it'd make it even smoother. I'm wondering if the 9 volts I had are bad theyve been sitting for a long time but that's the only other thing I can think to try.
#1 thing - check the rear ram o-ring. I've had many people say soaking that ring in dow55 before installation solved fps issues - leaking at that ring prevents adequate drive force.

5 coils should be very solid

I'd up your dwell to 10 for sure, the valve is self closing so no worries about efficiency, as the solenoids age they often need a bit more juice.

manual is on my site at lurkerpb.com also

2k2 pre and post Eigenram:
My stock pressure was 240psi on the hpr and 80psi on the lpr. Once I got the eigenram set up I was able to drop my pressures to 205psi and 65psi shooting 285fps. So I think it was well worth it.

Hi-flow barbs use 1/8" ID hose:
M3 threaded

you need to pic a tube size too.....you can pic the 1/8 for the highest flow....but you would need to buy some 1/8" ID tubbing too

otherwise go with the ID for standard cocker tubing....and they will fit the hoses already in your gun
