Hey folks,

Firaxis (makes of the Civ series) are coming out with a new game, a reboot of the XCOM series.

XCOM involves a paramilitary response to an alien invasion, it is a turn based strategy game where you command a squad of up to six soldiers during the main part of the game. Metagame is played out in the manner in which you develop your base and which alien sites you choose to respond to (you gain rewards for the missions you complete but you have to choose which missions you respond to which can alienate allies and governmental sponsors.)

There is a demo out, the game releases on Oct 9. There are preorder bonuses on Steam.

Will have co-op.

Nice, as if the game wasn't good enough, you get TF2 hats for preordering. There's really no scenario where you lose.

We should do the permadeath version once we get the hang of the game
