HPA Fills Available
I am very happy to announce that HPA tanks can now be filled on-site @ KTPPG.
Pricing is still up in the air because I don't know how many fills I can get out of 80cf.
I want to assure everyone that as with the CO2, the price will be very close to cost.
I am going to test @ $0.50/fill. Compare to $0.20/oz with CO2 and switch over to SAVINGS!

Re: HPA Fills Available
Difference per fill 1.50 for my 12 oz CO2. HPA tank - approx $30. Therefore - In 20 fills I would break even. Since HPA lasts longer, at my current consumption rate it would take the better part of a year for me to pay off the new tank. I think I'll stick with CO2 for the time being.

Question:
What psi is the scuba tank? Thanks.

Also do you have any stats on how many fills you get per tank?

As per the calculator (I picked the smallest scuba for a worst-case scenario):
Aluminium 80 (3000 psi) filling a 68ci tank from 0psi would have the first fill at 2713psi. The 20th fill would be at 402psi. The 10th fill is at 1098psi which I consider the cut-off what with everyone running Tippmanns. People with Vikings, G6R's, etc. could tap into that 20th fill, but that is pushing it (even with a Ninja SLP).
Looking at the chart, $6 nets us about 9 to 10 good fills. We can increase that by stacking scubas in series.
For example, 2 of the same aluminium 80 (3000 psi) tanks has a first fill at 2973psi, a 10th at 2148psi, and a 20th at 1175psi. You could probably get one or two more useful fills (ie. the "left-over" air adds up). If we ever got big enough that we needed more air, we would have a few options:
1. Shoebox for long-term air
2. Multiple scubas since we've already invested in one
3. People buy a fill at a store and then get an additional fill on site.
Numbers 1 and 2 depend on people (ie. it would likely be a group buy). Number 3 is the worst economic option. I *think* you pay $6 to fill either a scuba or an hpa tank. The scuba's a better value in that regard. If we got the Shoebox we should could get a bigger container than a scuba cheaper.

$125 for a huge oxygen container.

You miss understood, Showdesktop was keeping track of the number of fills and re-fills of his tank.
I wanted to know his real world numbers.
The calc is cool though lol.

He only fills to 1000psi, though. Keep that in mind.

I fill to whatever the PSI of the scuba is. For the first few, that's 3000. Then 2800, the 2600, and If it's really low, yeah 1000.

Re: HPA Fills Available
Ah, my misunderstanding then. Apologies. Do you have a count that you get then? What are the specs on the scuba?

Re: HPA Fills Available
Hydro tests no longer required for containers less than 1L/61ci in Canada including common ones such as 45/4500, 48/3000, and 13/3000. Tanks over 15 years past the born date are still expired. Fields still reserve the right to a visual inspection.
