Intel is about to release its new version of the Itanium processor:

I found this interesting from the comments:

The average brain has around 100B neurons. At the current rate of growth, CPUs will exceed that number in transistor count by around the year 2024.


Not suggesting anything by it, but just food for thought.

HP paid Intel close to half a billion to keep producing Itanium........
