If these fit under the mask they may be better, but I do have a lot of fog issues... may be better to stick with the exterior mount.

I was thinking the same thing.
If the fogging or blur in general from the mask lens becomes and issue I was going to take it apart and only use the required pieces.

I figured, the one side (where the electronics are) and up to the bridge of the glasses (Camera) will mod nicely onto the top of my helmet.

I would have got a higher rez camera for the gun mount but they don't have one in the form factor I wanted.
I like the one you posted, but I am iffy about buying something that expensive from Deal Extreme.

Did you look at the you tube posted from the Flashlight cam?
It looked pretty good to me.

Besides, lol Gun cam footage should be grainy. Gives it that Raw, in the field look! LOL
and I still think some footage is better then no footage lol.

Yeah, it's not the greatest, but the price is right. I was more looking for widescreen so that the video doesn't change formats all the time. The glasses are 16:9 and the flashlight isn't.

I like the idea of mounting the glasses camera on a mask instead. I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard. I might get one.

Did you get the camo glasses or the black ones? The camos are 4:3, the black is 16:9.

I guess if you got both 4:3 cameras it will be easier to edit your stuff together and I'll stay 16:9...

Another thing to note is the class of card that you buy. The higher the better since it will be writing data to the card very quickly.

I presuming that you're using anti-fog spray, correct? If not, it or even dish detergent work fairly well. If you have a JT mask, they have the fan option.

The frame sizing is not a big deal.
When you create your project in Permire, you select the video size you want the final product to be.
Then it will automatically crop or extend the video depending on the input video size.

I got the camo ones, they were cheaper. Since this is a POC project, economics are key lol.
I also think the modding will be simple, I am hoping that after I remove the extra parts, a little Industrial Velcro will do the job nicely.

Was the last video 720? I never turn up the quality on you tube so I have no idea lol.

I am not sure what card class I have, but I will most likely need to get new ones anyway as I don't think any of mine will fit in these devices.

I am really looking forward to getting these new toys lol.
