Cursed with dovetail mounts? No longer!

Post by eight_ender »

Found and ordered this on Dealextreme:

It appears to be a dovetail to weaver converter. My Spyder has a lovely raised dovetail rail that I can't mount anything on. Going to try out this adapter once it arrives and I'll report back.

This mount finally showed up today and its perfect. Good quality, nice finish, and I can finally use that useless dovetail rail.

Pictured here converting the top of my new tactical rail to weaver for my scope:

Actually its a Proto Primo gravity fed. It has a neat shelf that keeps pressure off the paintballs on the bottom for a faster feed. I've found it to work quite well.

More info and a cool video here:

I presume your MR-2 comes with an e-grip of sorts? Does it have any eyes?

It is an e-grip. My MR2 isn't the model with eyes (though there was a MR2-EYES) but has the ACS (Anti Chop System) bolt instead. The ACS bolt is kind of neat and works pretty well in practice. My only beef with it is that when its triggered by a ball in the way it'll give off a loud PING and then I have to re-cock the bolt. Better than chopping balls I guess.
