Multi-Team Deathmatch

Post by Quango »

Hey folks,

Today on the range, not being content to stick with the tried and true scenarios, we tried out a multi-team deathmatch scenario.

Knowing who is on your team being one of the biggest factors to consider, we decided on multiple 2 person teams (easy to keep track of your teammate).

We played a round on both the yard and the pond areas.

The yard was definitely faster paced, while the pond was a big campfest for the first 10 minutes.

Win condition was "last man standing" which was a mistake, confirmed kills would definitely be the better way to go... discourage camping and reward an aggressive playstyle.

Rules as follows...

1) Break group into teams of two.

2) Each team finds an area to start the game in. Cover is good, but you need to know who is around you when you start. (Some tweaking of this may be necessary).

3) Once you're out, you're out.

4) Keep track of how many people you have tagged.

5) Team with most frags wins. *Alternate* last team eliminated gets small point bonus on final score, last player standing gets moderate point bonus on final score.

No, sorry I didn't let you know, it was my cousin's bachelor party and I was able to rent some markers...

Most of the regulars are in Vegas atm, I thought I'd done the word of mouth announcement last week but you must not have heard... :(

It was brutally hot!

2 vs 2 vs 2 vs 2 was the best for sure on the smaller area. Its like 3 2 1 GO! and each team is in a corner looking at 2 other teams lol.

It was a mass OMG OMG as you try to get to an area and hold it with your allie. Then if you allie is hit and out its up to you to win the thing for your team... Was really fun and kinda crazy (in a good way).

I would do this again for sure

(on a side note I am never going to play paintball for hours then go home go for a swim then go play baseball right after again... )

No harm, no foul. I would probably have been busy anyways on such short notice. Sure sounds like Team Deathmatch is fun though.

Yeah, this was played a while back. It was:

Homey J & myself
Homey B & Tempus
Thump & "I forget who his partner was"

Agreed on it definitely being a fast-paced game.
