I am looking for a VERY inexpensive Jeep. Older is better as I want to dress it like a US military jeep.
Working or not working is OK, just keep your eyes peeled.

Re: WANTED: Cheap Jeep
Does it have to be an actual Jeep? There's my sister's T-boned Bronco II at my Dad's place. Not sure if he wants to fix it, though.
Anybody have a cheap Ranger/Bronco II motor kicking?

Re: WANTED: Cheap Jeep
Maybe I should mention that it should be road worthy or at least close to it. I actually want to be able to drive it around.

Re: WANTED: Cheap Jeep
A few things to consider buying an old Jeep:
1. The 4.0L engine is the one to get. Its basically indestructible and one of the most reliable engines of all time. The 3.7L engine is from a minivan and is easily one the worst engines of all time.
2. Stick shift is also preferred as Chrysler transmissions have a tendency to just randomly explode
3. These things rust like crazy and its not often the body work but the chassis. Make sure you give it a really good check underneath and pull up the carpets to check the floor pans.
