Please help! Gray needs a gun and help with what to get

The time has come for me to start looking (keep in mind i am no way ready to play) for a paintball gun annnnnnd I have seen a few on Kajiji and such and am trying to figure out the new to used thing and what people would think I should get.

I have seen a few things and am not really sure what I want but I know $400 on just the gun is not going to happen

I have seen alot of Tippmen stuff and everyone says good things.

I think $300 at the outside is my max but I want to stay around $200 i think if I can...

I will try to post a few things I have found so you guys can make fun of me and tell the right info.. lol

I got mine for $250 after gun, HPA tank, standard hopper & mask.

You could probably get the version like mine without the shroud and butt stock and save $50+

what is yours? and can your get the cyclone feed?

It's upgradable, but if you want cyclone, I would start with one that has it. Be prepared for more than $200... I don't see the need to cyclone yet. I don't spray and pray.

the gun i saw online used was a tippmen bravo used for $100 (only used once)

and there was one for $280 also tippmen bravo and it had mask, cyclone feed, e trigger, 12 oz co2 tank and hopper it was also used and its was Or best offer so might not be $280 if i talk em down.

Also for something like getting a used one $50 less is it just worth getting the new one? (at what point is the used one worth it $75 less?)

You can get a new Bravo One Tactical (one like Nik's with the stock and the shroud) from the wholesale site I posted for about $145, the cyclone and the E-grip are each about $90 addons. A 12oz Co2 is about $30, and a cheap mask is about $25 so for somthing like what's in this Kijiji add

it would probably run you about $350 new, but keep in mind that the E-Grip is basically a pointless addon if your going to be playing mostly at Bob's because full-auto fire isn't allowed anyway.

Also when you buy Co2 tanks used (or HPA) you have to check the hydro dates carefully, because a tank is basically useless if it's out of hydro and it costs about $18 to get it done (you have to get it done every 5 years).

If you don't get somthing with a cyclone, it is nice to atleast get one that can upgrade to it later if you want. Although even if you did get somthing that can't take a cyclone and you wanted a constant feed hopper you could get an electric one (like a Halo, or a BT Rip Clip).

If the Co2 is in Hydro, your probably saving about $100 over retail. Although I can't tell if this is an Alpha Black Tactical or just a regular Alpha Black that he added a stock to afterwards. I think it's probably a regular one because it doesn't have the tactical shroud. It doesn't really matter that much though, they have the same internals.

Hopefully he would let you gas it up before you actually gave the money. Just to make sure it atleast holds a seal.

its not like $125 is really that much more then 100..

Your still saving $75 over retail as long as the gun works well and the Co2 tank is within it's Hydro date. You could ask him about the tank.

Actually I forgot you'd also be getting that 8oz tank as well. So that's worth about $15. So really even at $125 you'd be saving $90.

On the other hand you probably don't really need that 8oz tank. You could ask if he would forget the mask and the extra tank and just give you the gun+20oz+hopper for $80.

So ask him whats the date printed (Hydro date) on the side of the tanks?

Yeah, or just ask if he knows when the last time they were hydro tested was.
