3~7x20mm Rifle Scope
Just in case anyone was wondering this is the scope that Bob and I both had on our guns today on the field. It doesn't have the largest field of view, but the price is right and the eye relief is more than enough to use it with a mask and I found it really useful for sighting targets down range.

It comes with dovetail mounts so if you want to put it on a weaver you'll have to buy extra mounts:

Deal extreme has free shipping but the items can take a long time to get to you (sometimes more than 6 weeks).

Re: 3~7x20mm Rifle Scope
Are those the mounts Bob has with foam in them? The scope is 20mm, the mounts are for 25mm.
It looks like the mounts it comes with should work (I know you said they don't). Are the bolts too high? Why doesn't it fit?

Re: 3~7x20mm Rifle Scope
20mm is the diameter of the lens. If you check out the dimensions it lists the overall diameter as 0.98 inches, which is 24.89mm. This is at the widest part of the scope (which is the ends) it is obviousally much narrower in the middle. I got the 25mm mounts and I had to put a couple wraps of electical tape around the scope (because it's slightly smaller than 25mm) but the tape is pretty much invisible (totally covered by the mount).
This is the mount that Bob got:
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/u-shape-dual-aluminum-alloy-bracket-mount-for-m40-m16-30mm-caliber-47220
It is 30mm, which is why he had to put the foam around the scope to help secure it to the mount. But he wanted the extra height and the side/top rails and didn't really care about the foam so he figured it was worth it.
It might be a little deceiving from the pictures of the scope but the actual mounts it comes with are Dovetail, and not Weaver/Picatinny compatible. Dovetail rails are 10mm wide, compared to weavers which are usually around 22mm (I think the Picatinny spec is actually 21.2mm or somthing like that). Having seen the actual mounts that come with the scope I can guarantee they will not fit on a Weaver style rail (as they are much too narrow).

Good to know because it looks like a great fit. Did you order the right mounts in the same order, or a separate one after the fact?

we got them all on one order.
But the shipping is free so it does not really mater, it more a question of time.

I just wasn't sure if you had 2 orders come in already. I'm going to place an order this week. I hope the postal strike doesn't hurt me too much.

Here a pic of my mounts so you can see that the 25mm mounts fit pretty well.
