I was giving some people a tour as we came in the 401 and I pointed out the Nature Preserve out by the Toyota plant and told them about the game "Survival" that the park ranger (Woodie Lamm) there used to run on school trips... Mr. Esseltine would take us out there at least once a year, if you remember that far back
Essentially, you have two core groups, carnivores and herbivores. Carnivores could attack and collect tickets from Herbivores. Herbivores were defenceless against Carnivores and had to collect tickets from around the play area. There was also "Man" and "Disease" which preyed on everything. The tickets were essentially food and water.
Does anybody else remember this game? I'd like to propose a Work In Progress thread to hash out a paintball adaptation of this... I kind of have this idea where the scenario starts out as kind of Co-op then gets more and more competitive as the carnivores compete for diminishing prey.
I had a lot of fun running in the woods (when I played I was a herbivore) and I'm always up for a trip down memory lane.
