One of the opposition's concerns is that the bill does not only affect those who commit serious offences.
Personally i agree with this issue. They do need to look at possibly splitting the bill into two different ones.
Critics of the bill say pardons help offenders integrate into society because they lower the barrier to find jobs.
Alright fine, we do need them to integrate back into society and give the (excuse my bluntness) fuckers a chance at life. But i truely think that a pardon should be one of the hardest things to achieve for someone who has committed a serious offence, if possible at all. They need to prove over many years that they are willing, can, have done and are still integrated back into society, that they are still no threat. Again i do believe the bill should be split because someone who writes a bad cheque is on an entirely different scale of offence then someone who has killed, or sexually assulted anyone (be that minor or otherwise).
