There has been a lot of chatter about this game... and to be honest I was thinking about getting it until I took a look at the DRM

If they thought the games were pirated before, just wait until this becomes the norm. Sins of a Solar Empire show that you can release a game, people will buy it, and you don't need any bull$hit DRM.

ya its really really too bad too. I would have bought this game. But instead I wrote several emails of discontent to these companies. Both of whom I own substantial amounts of software from.

I had mentioned elsewhere, not that I condone piracy but seriously its B$ like this that encourages it. Essentially all this protection does is punish the people who have actually paid for the game as the pirated version doesn't have to deal with limits on installs, activation or any number of crap...

you would THINK that people would learn by looking at the backlash against microsoft that this sort of policy does not work
