What I find most amazing is that M$ said that Linux would run cruddy on older equipment:

Who here, in their right mind, would try and run Windows XP on their old Celeron 300? Not me. I could run a very basic, command-line *nix on it, but I wouldn't even think of trying to load XP on it.
