I much prefer Minority governments. More gets done and more comprimising takes place.

its going to be an interesting dynamic i dont know if I would agree that more gets done in a minority or not. Historically less gets done

I agree about the smaller government
this minority may or may not work. With the bloc comming out and saying that they will support the initiatives of the conservatives may actually make this a productive parliament

I doubt this governemt will last long.

Given that historically, no conservative minority government has lasted more than a year, I think this one will follow the same trend.

Meh, I'm giving it 1 to 2 years. Depends on how aggressive they are in their policies. I don't think they will be all that aggressive. I think the real thing that will dictact whether this government lasts is the impeding recession that's coming on. As soon as that comes (no matter the party in power), the sh!t will hit the fan.

And if you want to get right anal about it, Diefenbaker could have gone on longer with his minority government. The end of his tenure was self-induced.
