amps volts and watts.. whats up?

amps volts and watts.. whats up?

ok can someone eplain this to me?
i am trying to figure out if i can run
2 X 430 watt psu
1 X 1440 watt AC

off of a 15 amp (i am assuming 15 amps) outlet....
the problem here is that there is no actual outlet in my wall but merely a runner which is live (you insert a plug/receptical in)

so simply plugging the ac into another plug is not feasable for my room

now i know that watts/volts= amps however i dont know what the psu uses for volts... is it 120 or 230... i dont know anyone more knowledgable in these sorta things?

Most things which plug into a standard receptacle use 110-120V AC.

You appear using 2300watts total.
w = va
a = 2300/115

So, these devices will pull about 20 amps which seems to exceed the standard 15 amp capacity of the circuit. Also keep in mind that when an AC starts up the compressor motor can draw a bit of extra current which will push your amps even higher.

Looks like you might have to use 2 circuits...or just put a penny in the fuse box/tape the breaker over....depending on the system in your home. :D
