Right...that's why I said slimmer, of course the chance still exists. Obviousally everyone who checks the board from work is comfortable with viewing swearing while at work, since no-one has ever said "Stop swearing, I can't check the board from work".
On the other hand, they have many times vocally stated "Please mark threads with nudity as 18+ or NSFW, so I don't accidentally check them from work"

Well you certinly set an example, although I think it was mostly confusing for the rest of us since you never said anything like "I'm sensoring my swearing so I can view the board at work". And you never asked that threads with swearing in them be labeled NSFW.

That's fine for you, but what about the rest of us.

The larger issue here is that most people would prefer the threads or links that contain graphic images to be marked in some way so we know what to expect when clicking the link.
It's become obvious from posts in the past, that the standard of our little online community is - swearing is ok, nude/graphic images should have a warning. As a part of said community, we all have a responsibility to follow this standard.

I made it quite clear in conversation last year that I quit checking the board at work due to swearing. Nobody gave a shit then.

I didn't ask on the board because I wasn't a pussy about the deal. I had a problem. Rather than bitch and moan I found a solution that worked for everyone. I gave up the thought about censoring posts for swearing after about....well, 1 day as it was a losing battle. Hell, you probably didn't notice all the times I rehosted images on Kalnet to show that we're not bandwidth leeching cocksuckers. There are multiple issues we all have with the board. My solution often results in if I have a problem with something, I just don't view/use it. Everybody wins.

And who's to define what's graphic? To me, for example, a picture of a pig with 1/2 its brain blown off, flopping around, and spraying blood all over a pen isn't graphic. I mean, shit, I did shoot the thing after all. Some PETA rep? They'd want my head on a platter.

Posting this stuff does let you know that it does indeed go on. I wouldn't do most of the stuff that I post. However, it is informative. So when someone says "ya know, I bet no one would ever..........blah, blah, blah, blah" you can say "actually, this weird fucker I know called THE JEW showed me this article where.........." Ignorance of a matter does not make it go away. Knowledge of said thing allows one to attempt to correct it. Why is the messenger being shot over the deliverance of the message here? Go to the link and start yelling at the dude who's a few inches shorter. I don't have any to spare so ya won't ever see me doing this.





Most of my posts are there for the simple reason that whenever I feel that I'm that fucked up............there's always some weirder fucker out there.

I don't understand the point of this part of the post...so you didn't like us swearing and leaching bandwidth and never did anything about it except change your own behaviour?
Why do the rest of us have to do the same thing. We have all created this community, and as such I do not see a problem with making changes to the board if the majority of people agree with them. No-one is talking about censorship here....it's just a simple warning that we're after.

Oh god, you've really got me on this one. It seems I've stumbled into a quagmire of ethics and censorship debate that I never considered....who's to say what's right and wrong in this crazy mixed up world, who am I to force my own moral judgement onto others.......
Oh, wait...I forgot, we're not a throng of faceless masses with an iron curtain shadow government pulling strings and supressing independent thought. We all know each other. You right, we have all known The JEW for quite sometime. Personally I have not come to expect every post he makes to contain images of a man cutting off his own penis. In the past he has posted some material which is similar to this (although not really the same on any lvl) and in those cases you'll find that I also requested that he include some kind of warning as to the content.

You are 100% correct in that this post was certainly informative, and I am not saying that you can't post any penis mutilation pictures in the future. This is not censorship. No-one is going to try to stop you from posting what ever you want. Just include a warning to give people who don't want to see it the chance to do just that.
