Sin City: Reviewed
I've followed this film closely since I saw the trialer and my jaw hit the floor at how amazing it looked. I've read the first of the three graphic novels that its based off of. I've enjoyed the trialers, the comics and everything to do with this movie. I went into this film with very high expectations and I was most definately not dissappointed. The movie itself was amazing. Just simply jaw dropping. The style, the effects, the mood, the characters, everytyhing was captured perfectly from the novels. The movie itself is more of a translation than an adaptation, simply because the scenes are copied almost perfectly. The actors did an amazing job portraying the characters they played, especially Mickey Roarke who played Marv. The cinematography was probably the best I've seen in any movie in a very long time. The shots were simply jaw dropping in some shots. I have absolutely no beefs with this film at all. There is nothing more they could have done better. The film begins and ends perfectly and the transitions between stories are done very well.

No, they arent breasts, they're personalities, because its ok to like a girl for her personalities
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For #1----------Pub. Date: November 01, 1993
Pulp Fiction---------------------------------Opened on October 14, 1994
Who's copying who here?
Look at the Dark Knight or even Daredevil as examples of how Miller had been doing this dark type of comic for quite some time.

Watch Stanley Kubrick's "The Killing" for an earlier movie with that type of film progression.
Since you'll have to rent it you can even fast forward through the parts you find boring ala "2001."

I really did not know what to expect so I went knowing that if was a different kind of film. (From Talking to Paul) I was one of the best films I have seen this year.
9/10
Only because I haven't read the comic so I don't really know how it is suppost to be like.
I loved the narritive style. I hope that they make another one if possible.

When I get time, the Mexican versions of the comics can be distributed.
EDIT:
There's already talk of doing the other full length stories and maybe some of the shorter ones.
