Cheese is as addictive as morphine? Help people win lawsuits against fast food companies?
HEY FATTY!!! PUT THE CHEESE BURGER DOWN!!!
Take responsibility for your own actions If you feel you're overweight--do something about it. Homey B's Dad is a shining example of this. I've seen the changes over the past year and they're very impressive. Kudos
While I also think that if they are making this stuff up it's pretty stupid...if it's true then it certinly raises a lot of interesting questions. I am obviousally skeptical of the claims made in the article, but it would be nice to see a follow up.
Just because a claim may seem outlandish or "non-intuitive" doesn't mean it's wrong
But I'm sick of people who, rather than trying to cope with the problem, blame their inadequacy on others and still partake in said problem. You got hooked on morphine? Fine. Get off it.
We are hardwired to want protein-rich, fat-rich foods. The foods themselves are addictive because back in the day a chunk of gouda was a good way to get your energy. The guy might have a point if the fast food companies intentionally added addictive substances to the cheese, like adding extra nicotine to cigarettes. Otherwise, in my overeducated biological opinion, it's shite.

Fear can hold you prisoner. Hope can set you free.
I don't really think cigarettes need a warning. I mean, who really thinks it's healthy to light something on fire and then suck on it? For that matter, who the heck thought of doing it the first time?
As for the food, they say the same stuff that makes cheese addictive is in mother's milk. Freud would love this. How long have people been eating cheese? It's not like it's a new drug or something being added, the guy says it's natural. That means people can't blame fast food companies for being fat. If anything, I would use this as defence against idiots who think they can sue for these very stupid reasons. I don't blame a drug for making a person addicted to it; I blame the person for trying it in the first place. Same goes for people who eat too much.
Until you find something worth dying for, you're not really living.
Food like cheese and chocolate do contain elements that make people feel good. So I understand where the guy got the idea. HOWEVER, it is no where near the power of a chemical substance. Food can become addictive but that has more to do why the state of mind of the person not the availability of food or certain kinds of food.
And as far as loosing weight that takes a complete lifestyle change. Trust me I know I read all the diets that say changing small elements of you lifestyle will make you loose weight. It doesn't work.
If it were we would all be thin!
anything good in life is either illegal, immoral, or fattening!
