this is mainly for the Jew or perhaps ghost or kal:

i did a brief scour of the internet to see if i could find out how to set the multiplier on this board.
anyone have any links to mods I can do either to the chips or the board itself?

Yup, and use a special .dll for XP.

which is better the wire under cpu mod or the bridges one?
on the same note the guide didnt state if the wires should be bare or not

Better? Depends on a few situations.


Since you have the Asus board, the easiest is to choose PCB view in the guide and use a defogger kit on the back of the mobo. Just use a Q-tip and finger nail cleaner and you can start all over again.

If you want to use bare wires in the socket, choose socket view and cut the wire roughly 7-8mm (no longer or they may "drift" to other holes), pinch them in a U shape, and then place them in the socket with tweezers.

The most "permanent" method is to take speaker wire and wrap them around the necessary pins on the cpu ala Tom's Hardware way.

I'd recommend using the defogger kit and then painting it over with clear nail polish if you're worried about it running over time.
