anyone heard horror stories of these things ripping off mobos?
i was trying to get some fans for it and some sales guy was trying to tell me that they fall off the mobo

i wonder... was this just sales bs or is this something i should be concerned with?

It's plausible, but I haven't heard of that product specifically. The weight including the fan is 600 grams. I wouldn't really worry about it. Why are you getting such an old heatsink? Why not get one of the XP-90's or SI-97's? Is it cost or just dimensions? Cuz the SI-97 is around $45, attaches via clips, cools very well, and has a huge clearance relative to other coolers. They're available right from Windsor (ADPMods). Homey B ordered his heatsink from them.

came with the a7m266-d i picked up from alberta... should be here monday or tues since tracking says its in TO right now
guy was parting it out and so i took them off him for 20 bucks (10 for each) i figured that is decent enough...
on a related note: is emailing canada computers bad?
have emailed them twice now with no response... trying to get ahold of those 2500 mobiles

Good luck getting an email response from them. Almost ALL online dealers I've dealt with only answer your questions if you phone them. E-compuvision had the best response time with one that was "only" 2 weeks. :roll:

Check my link in this section to see which CC stores have the mobiles in stock. Much easier.

ya i have to call from my gf's house then we dont have long distance available where i live... suppose i could get a phone card but 10 bucks for a phone card for that tiny convo seems not worth it

EDIT: i find it odd that CC has two websites... how did you get to the one with the inventory (i have it book marked but would like to know if i am on a different computer)
