Well, nik, a Jedi's FIRST and foremost job is to keep the peace and bring justice. Now, you say you were only acting to protect an innocent, which would be fine IF you had exhausted ALL OTHER AVENUES first. You didnt attempt to talk to Nagta, you didn't try anything else first, which is why you died as you did. Steve may have killed you, but he at least wasnt acting out of cold blood. It was very close to the line, and I dont know if I would give him a DS point or not, but thats Sean's call.

The important point to consider here was that there was no attempt by either you or Gray to mitigate the situation aside from "Whats going on here?" type questions. Hopefully Gray's actions are a little more guarded from this point on, but you as Jedi Characters had to act with more self restraint and patience than any others as you are far more succeptible to the Dark side.

Now, as one who has lost MANY characters, it sucks. But at least you get to make a new one. Try and make it completely distinct from the previous one just for interests sake. If you want any advice about character types feel free to ask me for advice if you need any.

I am allowing Nick's character to be recussitated, and it has already been discussed. It will be VERY DIFFICULT to do (possibly a heroic difficulty, but I haven't decided yet), but it is possible. This does not mean that everything is alright, it just means that he is not dead. He IS dead now, and unless the recussitation is done successfully in this round there will be no more second chances. The recussitation will cost a force point from whomever performs the CPR/first aid roll, as well as the dead character.
The rescuer must also have the first aid skill to even attempt this.

I have not decided if I will allow such actions in the future. It will probably depend on the type of injury, but all such revivals will be costly for both the people who do the recussitation, and the person who is saved. (Minimum a force point from each, and whatever side effects from the injury). The person who is revived may lose some or all of their current character points.

I will be posting on Monday. If nobody with the first aid skill attempts to revive Ka (spending a force point to do so), he will die. Nick must also post that he is spending a force point to "stay away from the light" as it were. If both conditions have not been completed by the time I post, then there is no chance of his survival.

This goes without saying, but here goes anyway: recussitation will require a medpack to be used as well.

Nagta Tal'kan
Force Sensitive: No
Force Points: 0
Character Points: 3
Darkside Points: 1

i was awarded a DS point which is fine... perhaps checking the char sheets before reacting is a wise decision

Do I need to have the first aid skill in order to use my Med-Packs to help Ka?

No, you do not. If you help Rava with Ka, then your skill would add an extra 1pip to Rava's roll, because he has the higher skill. I believe this would also include a command roll, but I'm not completely sure. I'll look it up, but I doubt it will make a difference.

A Command roll would be required or it will default to Perception.

Both Perception and the skill being commanded must be rolled.

Gray would get a +1 to his First Aid skill if he successfully rolls his perception.

The action will take one full round, meaning that Rava can do nothing else in that round, except make the command check. If he is also working on first aid in the next round (the task which he is coordinating, he will have a-1D penalty to his command roll, bringing his Perc to 2D. The task (first aid check) is very difficult, and requires extreme precision, meaning that the roll to combine your actions will be very difficult (21). If the command roll fails there will be no bonus to the roll.

Also, the difficulty of the first aid check increases with every med pack used on Ka (or any character) within 24 hours. At the moment, it is very difficult (23). A failed roll will bump the difficulty up to heroic (31+).

Another thing that everyone should be aware of, is that while Ka is mortally wounded, and unstable, he may die. The rule here is to roll 2D every round, and if the roll is less than the number of rounds he has been mortally wounded, he will die. (Currently he has been mortally wounded for 2 rounds. In my next post, it will be 3 rounds, and he has a chance of dying.)

A note for Nick: You were dead and have been brought back, and as a result you must do what you can to avoid dying again. The scenario you are experiencing is like a force vision. Your body in the vision is unharmed, but if you die in the vision you will die in the game. This is regardless of what miracles Rava and modern medicine may perform. Even if your body is fully recovered, you will be in a coma until you can find your way out of the vision, or die. The outcome of this will also determine how much you truly recover.

Nick, you don't have any more force points. Ka also can't just wake up from this. You have to find the way out.

I'll give everyone until tomorrow night to post. I don't like posting for 7 of the 9 players in the game.
