Mission 1 Gameplay

I continue to monitor the logs and the active users, scanning for any relevant information and making sure the Admin doesnt log on again.

[Samurai]

- Ka - You try to hold onto your damaged saber as Nagta pulls against you. Nagta rolled 20, you must roll 21. Your strength is 2D, -1D for multiple actions, + 2D for 2 CP = 3D. You roll 12.
The lightsaber comes free of your grasp, and is now in Nagta's posession. (your attack will be done during the next part of the round)

- Ilon - You watch as Nagta takes Ka's lightsaber, against Ka's best efforts to the contrary. He prepares to take a swing at Nagta with the knife retrieved from his lightsaber. At this point, the cleanliness of the hold looks like it could take a turn for the worst.

- Garmen - You continue to monitor the logs and the user data, oblivious to the commotion. You keep a careful eye on the system to make sure that the admin does not attempt to log in again. So far so good.

- Cale - Disappointed by the supposedly enlightened wisdom of the Jedi, you decide it would be best to follow Kylin. You hurry to catch up and do so just inside the door to the platform.

Round 1 Second Actions

- Ka - Having had enough of Nagta, you take a swing at him with the knife, hoping to catch him anywhere. Your Dexterity is 4D, -2D for multiple actions = 2D. You roll 7. You swing the knife cuts through the air, and approaches Nagta's flesh.

I see that KA and Nagta are not going to stop and I see Nagta go for KA..Seeing how KA only has a knife and is being attacked I turn on my saber and attack Nagta

- Rava - It doesn't look like Nagta and Ka are ready to quit, and Ka's busted lightsaber is now in Nagta's hands. You step in lightsaber drawn and activated, just as Ka attacks Nagta with a knife. You swing your saber at Nagta, intending to end this quickly. The difficulty of using a lightsaber is difficult [17], and Ka is close to Nagta, increasing the difficulty by 5, but the Pirate has managed to work his way outside and is now with his friends. You must beat 23. Your lightsaber skill is 6D, 28. The teal blade burns through the air approaching Nagta with swift precision.

Round 1, Reaction 2

The only person who needs to post a reaction is Nagta, and I will post the response as soon as I see that he has made one, otherwise, the next post will be on Tuesday, February 22. The new rule is in effect as of now.

i will use 4 char points to parry the lightsabre and not bother with the knife which Ka is wielding

- Ka - Your attack strikes Nagta below the ribs, The knife does Str+1D Damage = 3D [10]. Nagta rolls 15 to resist. Although the knife hit nagta between the ribs it doesn't penetrate his tough, scaly hide. He now simply has an expression of anger, but quickly reacts to Rava's assault with his lightsaber.

- Rava - You see Nagta take the knife directly in the gut, but he does not appear to be phased. He quickly turns to you as the newest threat and attempts to parry your lightsaber. Your roll was 28 + 10 for armed vs unarmed = 38. Nagta rolls 39. He manages to catch your hands and pulls you off-balance, just evading the attack.

- Nagta - Ka catches you under the ribs with the knife. You take 10 points of damage. Your strength is 4D. you roll 15. Failing to penetrate your scales, the knife doesn't even slow you down, but noticing Rava coming in for the kill you quickly attempt to parry the deadly blade of energy. Rava's roll was 38. Your Dexterity is 6D -1D for multiple actions, + 4D for CP spent = 9D [39]. You catch Rava's hands and pull him off-balance, giving him a slight shove to the side.

End of round 1

- Ilon - You remain crouched down and out of the way. The battle in your cargo hold is getting ugly, and it doesn't look like everyone will be walking out of here in one piece. Nagta's defence against the Jedi is noteworthy, but there is no telling exactly how this will end. Garmen remains behind you still doing whatever with the computer. Athena is still standing in the hold, dangerously close to the action, and you note that Cale is gone.

- Garmen - You come across a set of travel logs, the names and destinations of all the ships and people that have checked in with any of the defence platforms, as they all have an interconnected monitoring system. The list is quite long, but may prove useful. There are also communication logs, and cargo manifests. They can all be easily downloaded, but it will take a minute or two.

- Athena - You watch as ka attacks Nagta, following Nagta taking his lightsaber, and is then joined by Rava, who moves in lightsaber ignited. Nagta manages to defend himself from the two attackers, but the fact remains that there are still two Jedi attacking him. Somebody is going to get hurt at the very least, but quite possibly worse.

- Cale - You and Kylin are passing through the corridor that leads to your landing platform. The halway is reletively deserted, given that yours is the only platform on this level that can be accessed through this hallway. You see a few people about half-way down the hall, but they are at a vending machine of some sort and do not appear to notice you yet.

- Kylin - You notice Cale's approach from behind you, the sound of his feet on the metal floor giving away his rather rapid approach. There are a couple people at a vending machine about halfway down the otherwise deserted hallway. They pay you no heed from this distance.

- Camon - As you stand there you note that the pirates seem to be getting a bit more excited about seeing Nagta being faced by two Jedi. They start to get a little louder. You're not sure how they will react depending on who wins the fight, but you bet that they are supporting the Jedi.

I begin downloading ALL the logs and continue to monitor the users and I Have Sellia check to make sure the signal isnt being traced.

- Nagta - You decide that you are done playing around with the Jedi and move to make an effort to defend yourself by drawing the vibrobade from the sheath on your back. No sooner have you done this, than Rava attacks you again. Rava's attack roll is 21. The saber hums loudly as the blade arcs through the air.

- Ka - You see Nagta draw his vibroblade, and watch as Rava strikes at him again. You stand there, knife ready, but make no move toward or away from this melee of would-be allies.

- Rava - Nagta pulls his vibroblade in an attempt to defend himself against your lightsaber. You focus on ending this fight and make another strike at Nagta. Your lightsaber skill is 6D + 1D for CP spent = 7D. You must make a difficult roll, 16 + 5 because Ka is so close to Nagta. You roll 21. Your blade arcs toward Nagta right on target.

- Athena - You continue to observe the combat from the side of the hold, just out of reach of Rava's lightsaber. Nagta is no longer going to hold back, and has armed himself with his vibroblade. You see Rava make another attack, while Ka stands there, inactive.

- Garmen - You begin downloading logs as though you were a kid who'd found his sister's diary. The download starts up and you watch the progress bar as it approaches 10%. You speak to Sellia, and warn her to check for possible traces on the signal, to which she replies, "nothing so far." The list of active users changes from moment to moment, but they are all simply low-level users mostly doing routine work, and nothing really important.

- Ilon - From your position next to Garmen, you see the continuing action. Now that Nagta has his vibroblade out of its sheath the potential for a real mess in the hold is very high. At least from what you've heard of them, lightsabers are clean weapons. Rava attacks Nagta again, but Ka just stands there, knife in hand, looking ready.

- Kylin - In continuing down the hallway with Cale, you pass the people at the vending machine and move beyond the end of the hall. You see several armed men, apparently starport security following another, better-dressed man. The the leader would appear to be the customer relations representative, on his way to greet the new arrivals, as is standard procedure in the better space ports.

- Cale - You continue along the hall with Kylin, passing the two people standing by the vending machine. You are both rounding the corner when you see what appears to be the standard welcoming party that high-end space ports tend to greet their guests with, complete with the complimentary security who would generally be assigned to keep watch over any ships while their owners are away.

- Camon - Since you aren't getting paid to stand around and watch your supposed teammates kill each other, you begin to make your way through the crowd of pirates who are standing idly by and watching the fight unfold. You head for the door into the spaceport, following Cale and Kylin.

- Nagta - You use the vibroblade to try and parry Rava's lightsaber. His roll to hit was 21. Your Dexterity is 6D -1D for drawing your blade = 5D. You roll 17. You take 5D damage from the saber. [16] Your strength is 4D. You roll 27, with two 6s on the wild. The saber comes in fast, and your attempt to parry is too slow to save you from taking a hit, but you are lucky enough to have only taken a grazing blow and lost a few scales. There is a slight twinge of pain, but nothing that will slow you down.

- Rava - You maneuver your saber around Nagta's vibroblade and make some contact with his arm. You cause 5D damage. [16]. He resists with 27. The strike only glances off, and some burning scales fall to the floor. You stand ready, as does he.

- Ka - Rava's attack has hit Nagta, but it hasn't even slowed him down. They both stand for a split second, facing off with each other.

- Athena - Nagta has taken a hit from the Jedi, but is still able to continue fighting. If he's hit like that again he may not be able to shrug it off so easily.

- Garmen - The download bar reaches 13%.

- Ilon - It is apparent that Nagta can't hold off the combined assaults of the Jedi indefinately, and he nearly ended up a limb short in the last attack.

- Kylin - You continue around the corner and head for the area maked as the lift. The welcoming party begins to walk past you, possibly thinking that you are simply one of the patrons who was using the vending machine down the hallway.

- Cale - You round the corner with Kylin, passing by the welcoming party, who do not take much notice of you. They head down the hall toward the landing platform.

- Camon - You see Kylin and Cale turn around the corner up ahead. Another group of people is heading your way, they are dressed in security uniforms and are armed.

The next post will be on Saturday, February 26. I expect that Tempus, TSB, and Neb are the only ones who will be posting, so I am giving less time to post (and I get the feeling that people want to hurry this up).
