- Garmen - After a moment of glaring at Ka, you return to your work. The first thing you do is hit the confirm button on your datapad and the prompt disappears and is replaced by a screen full of code. You give Sellia some instructions and she gets to work looking for inefficiencies in the code while you focus on editing what she finds.
With Sellia's help, your computer programming skill is 8D+1. To improve the system to 2D+1 you will have to beat an easy roll of 8. [32] It will take 10 minutes to optimize the firing code, as it involves reprogamming the target recognition software.
You get to work in another blissful session of programming. If you move from this spot in the next ten minutes you will lose the 1 pip bonus.
- Cale - Caring somewhat about what is happening, you move calmly over to Ka and inquire if you could be of assistance. Garmen is busy working on something again.
- Kylin - After a moment of hesitation you decide to go to the left around the rock that is blocking your path.
This is a moderate manoeuver, and will require a roll of 11. Your piloting skill is 4D+1. [19]
You bring the X-Wing around the asteroid. Finally through the field, you head straight for the hyperspace point.
- Ilon - You continue through the narrowing corridor of starship killing stones, and are almost to the end. After a few seconds you are out of range of the frigate, but the light at the end of the tunnel, that was Kylin's engine glow has been eclipsed by an asteroid, and you can see more approaching the gap in the edge of your vision. Two asteroids are moving closer to each other from the sides, threatening to sandwich your ship. One of the gunners yells,
And you get confirmation by looking at their power status: all of the weapons lights are out. This is magnified by a sudden flash that illuminates the asteroids in front of you.
- Camon - You slip through the openingas the asteroid that Kylin dodged slips by, once again leaving the path somewhat clear. You come up beside him and head for the hyperspace point.
- Athena - Garmen has settled down, and now Cale is standing next to him and Ka. You hear someone in the cockpit yell.
- Nagta - While you sit, waiting, somebody in the cockpit yells. The hold is more or less quiet.
- Ka - After a moment of staring Garmen has returned to his work. Cale steps up beside you and asks if you need any help with Garmen. Somebody yells that the guns are out in the cockpit.
- Rava - Cale moves next to you and Ka, while Garmen has gone back to work on the computer. One of the pirates yells that the guns have gone offline, and there is only one explanation.
No map this time.
The next post will be on Thursday, November 11. Don't forget.

I ask KA "what is going on ??" and see that garmen is messing with the guns.. I then says to everyone "No one stop him .. if he screws this up or we try and stop him we may be without guns for the rest of our flight."
I then look at KA and say "keep a close eye on him. I need to do something and will be right back"
I then walk into the hall out of sight and then I examine the stun device that I found, trying to figure out how best to use it and how it works.

Seeing the asteroids closing in on the ship I grab the stick with both hands and yell to my gunners.
"Forget about the guns, just hang onto somthing!"
I punch the throttle to full and yank the controls back towards myself in an attempt to fly up and over the oncomming asteroids.
I'll use a character point in the attempt.

noticing the commotion centering on the guy with the computer, I am going to keep an eye on that general area. If it looks like there is going to be a fight i'm going break in and throw people away with no bias (as in just make sure they all scatter)
Gentlemen, we got 20 calls about the David Hyde-Pierce incident. And as you know, one call equals a billion people, which means 20 billion people were offended by this

- Garmen - Your work immerses you in a level of bliss that is virtually undescribable. The code, the variables, it's just so much. You can't get enough of it, so you continue to work. There is a sudden jerk, that prompts you to make a mistake, but you quiclky correct it.
- Rava - As Garmen works you ask ka,
Noticing that Garmen has begun playing with the ship's weapons, you give a little friendly advice to the rest of the group,
You turn to Ka, with a very resaonable request,
You step just through the door to the cockpit as Ilon pulls up on the stick, and you are put off-balance. The ship stabilizes again and you begin to examine the stun device. It has a switch with a picture at either end of the switch (a stick with little lightning symbols, and a Blaster). There is a hole at one end indicating a ranged function, and a metallic mesh embedded in the sides, showing that it acts as a baton as well. From the look of it, it has been modified to give it the ranged function, and there is a sticker attached to the bottom of the handle with writing on it.
- Ilon - You yell to the gunners while grasping the stick firmly in your hands,
You pull with everything you've got, trying to get the ship over the oncoming asteroids. This is a very difficult manoeuver, and you must beat 25 to pull over the asteroids without smashing into the ones that are just above. Your Piloting skill is 6D+1, +1D for a character point = 7D+1. [29] The Firespray lurches and you are pulled back into your seat, the inertial dampers unable to compensate quickly enough to negate the effect of the manoeuver. You clear the asteroids and put the ship back into a safe trajectory for the edge of the asteroid field. While you fix your course on Kylin's engine lights you see a turbolaser battery fly past you, glowing red at the base. You are on the outskirts of the asteroids, followed closely by the Dianoga.
- Ka - After Rava asks you about Garmen and asks you to keep an eye on him you answer with a somewhat sarcastic remark,
Garmen merrily works on as you patiently watch him, waiting for Rava to get finished whatever he's doing. The ship lurches, and you nearly fall over from the sudden change of direction.
- Nagta - The ruckus on the other side of the crowded hold has died down to a slight tension, but Garmen remains at the computer terminal. Rava walks past you and into the cockpit just as the ship lurches. You are fine in your seated position, but thyou see Rava brace himself against the door.
- Athena - Rava leaves the room after conferring with Ka. As he leaves you feel the ship lurch and see Rava brace him self against the door. The only effect on you is the feeling that your stomach has moved that can be associated with so many thrill rides.
- Kylin - You continue to take your X-Wing toward the hyperspace point, waiting for the rest of the team.
- Camon - You move alongside Kylin and prepare to enter hyperspace.
- Cale - You stand next to Garmen and Ka as Rava leaves for a moment. Just after he is gone the ship pitches in a new direction, nearly throwing you to the ground, but you manage to hold onto a cargo rack that is bolted to the wall.
No map needed. It is clear sailing all the way to the hyper point, and you will be there by the end of the next turn. I want everyone to post what they will be doing on their 8 day flight to Corellia (one or two main things). The next post will be Sunday, November 14.

If you had been watching him in the first place, maybe we would still have some weapons. Whatever you're doing, hurry up and get back here so we can tie this guy down.

In the immediate future, I will offer to help Ka restrain Garmen.
-----
For the next eight days, I will spend some time each day mentally practicing with my blaster and vibroblade. If space allows, I will perform routine calisthenics. Also, I will dedicate some time each day to performing monologues and involving others in improv sketches, ostensibly to pass the time and prepare for possible social situations during our next mission, but also for me to learn as much as I can about everyone in the cargo hold, though their behaviour.

I will continue to improve ships systems until there are no more for me to improve.
If anyone touches me I will react in a similar manner as earlier.
in response to Garmen:
I reply that Im improving these ineffecient subroutines and vaguely wave at him that yes I will leave the hyperdrive alone and continue on my merry way.
This puts Garmen in a good mood since people are finally leaving me to myself.
When Ilon asks for help in slicing I will teach as best I can since Im in such a good mood
And if I finish on the ships systems before the trip is over, I work on Sellia

what I want to do in the near future
-----------------------------------------
i walk up to garmen trying to avoid a fight tap him on the sholder and say "What exactly are you doing"
when he tells me what he is doing I Then ask him to leave the hyperdrive systems alone becuase we need to get to the planet and takeing the hyperdrive off line will only make problems and then I will add something like and the faster we get there the longer you can work on your computer and be left alone
----------------------------------------
then for the rest of the trip I keep an eye on garmen and train more on focusing the force.

After making the jump to light speed, I'll put the ship on auto pilot and make my way into the cargo hold.
"Well, thanks to some expert manouvering on my part we made it out of there alive."
"We've got a few days untill we reach Corellia so make yourselves comfortable"
I turn to the pirates
"I'm sorry but the Dianoga didn't make it."
For the rest of the trip I'm going to try to improve my Computer/Program-Repair by one pip. If Garmen is willing to teach me (and is conscious to do so) then I'll learn from him to reduce the time. Otherwise I'll try to learn on my own.

Immediate actions
- Cale - When Garmen is finished working on the weapons systems, you grab his arm to try and pull him back. Your strength is 4D, you roll 14. Garmen's strength is 3D. He rolls 11. You pull him away from the terminal, provoking him to turn on you with a possessed look in his eyes. Rava steps in and asks him to abstain from tinkering with the hyperdrive. He agrees, and with this possible threat to the mission taken care of, you let him go. He is encouraged that he can work and be left alone, and his mood swiftly changes to one of content. Ilon enters giving both good and bad news.
- Garmen- Your work on the weapons systems comes to a close, when you suddenly feel somebody grab your arm. It's Cale. You turn to him with fire in your eyes as if you would bite off his hand. Your strength is 3D, you roll 11. Cale's strength is 4D. He rolls 14. He pulls you away from the terminal, not roughly, but annoyingly so, given your special distaste for physical contact. When Rava approaches seeking your guarantee that you will avoid working on the hyperdrive, you agree. This prompts Cale to release your arm, and you try to go back to work.
- Rava - After double checking the use of the sleep inducer you re-enter the cargo hold. Garmen works for a few minutes before finishing up with his work, but when he finishes with the guns Cale grabs Garmen's arm. This evokes an unpleasant response, but you step in and get his assurance that he will not work on the hyperdrive. You are satisfied with this, and Cale is as well. After a moment, Ilon enters the hold bearing both good and bad news.
- Ilon - You reach the hyperspace point and put the ship into lightspeed just after Kylin and Camon make their jumps. When the ship is put on autopilot you go into the cargo hold where Rava and Cale are speaking to Garmen.
Turning to the pirates, you inform them of the loss of their Captain,
- Ka - When Garmen finishes his work Cale and Rava step in and persuade him to avoid the hyperdrive system. After a minute, Ilon enters. His news is both good and bad, and the pirates are obviously hurt.
- Athena - You sit in your chair watching everything unfold. Garmen is now going about his business, while avoiding the hyperdrive systems, and no sooner does he get back to work than Ilon enters bearing bitter-sweet news.
- Nagta - You continue to watch the cargo hold. Cale's attempt to get Garmen away from the terminal is successful, but with Garmen's character that is only a temporary solution. Garmen, obviously irritated, struggles against Cale's grasp as Rava approaches. All is calm after speaking for a moment, until Ilon enters with the news of a successful escape and the pirates' fallen captain.
- Kylin - You enter hyperspace after you are sure that Ilon's ship is ok. Since you are in comm blackout while you are in hyperspace you catch up on your reading.
- Camon - After a second you enter hyperspace, leaving behind the coldest planet that you have ever been on. You decide to look up some bounties, and read as well.
Long-term actions
The trip through hyperspace is uneventful and you make all of your jumps safely as you head for Corellia. Cale has managed to keep everyone entertained, that is everyone except Nagta and Garmen. Everyone goes about their business as the trip drags on in tight quarters, but nobody kills anyone.
- Cale - Your mental practice with your blaster and vibroblade does little for you but invoke daydreams, but your constant acting helps you fine tune your technique. Your hard practice has earned you a unique skill: Smooth Talk. This skill gives you a +2 bonus on all Con checks, rounding up by 1D if you have any extra pips in your perception or con skill.
Your observations about your team mates are inconclusive, except for Garmen and Nagta, who are obviously anti-social. Ilon loves his ship and has a high opinion of himself. Athena likes to observe, and Nagta is always with her. Rava and Ka don't always make sense, but they are Jedi, and spent most of the trip meditating.
- Garmen - You were quickly interrupted by Ilon, who refused to let you continue working on his ship unless under his supervision, and the condition that you teach him what you can while you work. His terms were fair enough, and you were in a good mood, getting the chance to work in peace. Your focus was to improve the Firespray's shield system, a task made rather time-consuming, as the only improvement to the software that was of any use was to stabilize the power distribution protocols to get a slightly more stable deflector shield. This improved the deflector shields by 1 pip. Your main work was done on Sellia. You managed to find a droid body maker that works with organic materials. The work is top secret, according to the woman's highly protected records that you sliced through, but she is confident about it's use. Her name is Cray, but you cannot get in touch with her until you stop on Corellia.
Your periodical slices through the holonet have given you the unique ability: Electronic Information Gathering, which gives a +2 or 1D bonus to all information gathering done by slicing, based on the same rules as Cale's ability.
- Rava and Ka - You spend the entire trip working together. As you are both students you must learn together. You both meditate, focusing on drawing on the force and using it to improve your awareness. Much of the time you are oblivious to your surroundings. By mentally focusing on your lightsaber abilities you become more connected to the force, enabling you to activate your Lightsaber combat ability with greater ease. This removes the 1D penalty for multiple actions when attempting to activate the power (unless attempting to do something else in the same round). This skill is: Lightsaber Proficiency..
- Ilon - Your 8 days are well spent. You become very familiar with your ship's computer, thanks to Garmen's help. You come to accept his quirks, but not without watching him constantly. His teaching has given you a strong sense of how to read your ship, and gives you some skill in terms of computer programming and repair. You get the skill: Starship Familiarity. You get a +2 or +1D bonus to all attempts at repairing any ship of Starfighter scale. (governed by the same rules as Cale's ability) You also get the ability Computer Programming/Repair 2D+1 at a cost of 2 character points.
- Nagta - Your long stay in cramped quarters with these people has made you intimately aware of their specific odours. You spent much of the trip doing nothing, but tested your tracking skills through the use of scent. You have gained that ability: Instinctive familiarity. This allows you to recognize when somebody is near if you have smelled them before. An easy perception roll will allow you to recognize exactly who the individual is. You do not have to roll for party members.
- Athena - Your time is spent enjoying yourself. You take part in Cale's games and have a jolly good time. Nagta teaches you how to use your hair broach knife as a thrown weapon. You get the ability: Thrown Weapons Dex + 2 or 1D (Based on the same rules as above).
- Camon - You manage to find a bounty on Corellia that might be worth getting, but you'll have to look into it more. Your flight gives you time to work with your ship, and you get the Astrogation Ability at the skill level of Mech + 2 or 1D (based on the same rule's as above).
- Kylin - Your trip is spent productively as well. You have R4 run many gunnery simulations as you fly the ship on auto-pilot. Your practice manages to improve your Starship Gunnery skill to Mech +2 or 1D (governed by the same rules as above).
General - You come out of hyperspace at an odd angle and cannot even see the planet. You will have to use your sensors to orient yourselves.
The next post will be Tuesday, November 23.
