May 24 LAN

Hey, if ya wanna bring it, go nuts.

BUT due to the house rules, just don't let it be seen. Nobody seems to realize this, but there was alcohol at the last Summer Redneck Beatdown at my house. Those that brought it were just sensible enough to keep it to themselves and enjoy "after hours."

As of now, the only rules that apply are the ones outlined last year (you do have the old webpage..........right?)

No disrespect is intended in this next comment, just so we're clear. Let's be honest here. Setting up this LAN is going to be a fairly decent sized job. If I don't do it with Homey B (and with a bit of extra help from a select few that I've all ready contacted..........and a few more I've yet to contact

), it's not gonna get done. Yeah, I'm arrogant. Mind you, as previously stated, I will need help from those I call upon. However, we ALL want a fun LAN, right? This is just as much our LAN as it is Chris'. It sounds lame, but when planning/executing a LAN, the lil' things people do for ya do help. I appreciate them and ask all to do as much as ya can. That will make it fun for all of us. Which brings me to my next point:

CAN SOMEBODY PHONE/TALK TO CHRIS AND POST WHEN HE WANTS THE LAN?!? Does he want it the holiday weekend or the actual 24 weekend. Both Pimpin Matt and Angmar have said that they would like it the actual 24 weekend.

p.s. Pimpin Matt, there's no such thing as "high class" pr0n with my Mom. Example, we had a temporary ban on PG movies after she saw us watching Ace Venture and the lady..........paid back Ace for finding her puppy. I was in grade 9 at the time. Yeah, if getting my Mum's approval wasn't an impossible thing to do, I wouldn't have made the $20 bet :mrgreen:

Is this chiris's batchaler party?
im confused what lan is this, if its the batchaler party shouldnt gray be the one organizing it and not the Jew (no affence your doin a grat job)

Yes, the 24 is Chris' bachelor party. Gray is on the so-called council and offering..........input.

Though if you guys could pressure him into phoning Chris to finalize the date, that would be much appreciated.

here I am!! better late then never .. ok this is what I know so far.. and I dont want chris in on this ... as far as I KNOW it is may 24 it is for chris... I was hoping to get everyone to pay $20 to go to chris for his honeymoon becuase he has no money for it... also there was going to be two partyys... but I made them both into the one... so there is a tool party some where in all this mess as well.. lol (chris said something about D2 being played.. maybe, maybe not..as far as I know that is only for his night before the wedding thing .. )

there are two ways we can do this.. all put money into it and get a few people to get all the stuff (tools) for us or each get our own tool (please keep in mind this does not include the $20 for the lan) this is just a gift for chris to help with his new house...

there was going to be two partys, one was the lan and one was a tool party... but due to lack of time it is now just the lan with a tool party in it..

I will call him tonight and let every one know what is going on..

hahaha sorry man OK i WAS AT HIS HOUSE!! so now I know 100% it is going to be the 3 day weekend the 17.. God I wish this was easy to find out from chris.. I am sorry for the message before.. and I am told.. GOD why do they do this to me.. the tool party is no longer with the lan becuase other people.. that chris knows and what not want to go to the tool party... my problem with this is I dont know what they are going to get him so this could mean he will get some stuff two time or more... not happy with finding out just a few mins ago... ok so we need to still figure out do we all want to get him something on our own for the tool party or all pitch in some money then me and a few people just get him some stuff from the group...

Please tell me what you think!

ah I say just get him shit because im keeping the drill i was gona get him, i love it so much

So i perpose that everyone get him something that they think he could use. choos whatever you want because im not getting him a tool now unless its decided that we are going that way.

or just a pool of $ would work, we all cold give $ and just give chris a shit load of cash from all of us. that way there will be no gifts that are doubled.
i say we all put in $50 and screw the $20 lan fee that way it will all be out of the way.

Excuse my french, but I wish i were fucking getting married! if he had a Buck and Doe (or stag and doe, whichever you call it) he would have no money problems, and we could all have fun while spending our money, but since he's against alcohol, and apparently fun in general, it's not gonna happen.

ok then so first things first.. nik shut up.. second it sounds like money is what we want to do but there is a tool party and we would look kind of stupid showing up with nothing.. i understand that he needs money but having a tool party with out tools? what we going to do about that?? ps I like the money idea.. but I really have to say that.. because I am planing this party...

It's now official. The May 24 LAN is actually the holiday weekend of the 17th (NOT the actual 24 weekend, but the weekend before).

Price? That's pretty steep man. While I don't have any large problems with roughly that amount, how are we gonna pitch that amount to the n00bs you show up for the first time? We gotta remember that not everyone there is gonna even know who Chris is. I was thinking around $15 for the LAN per each person and then if you were invited to the tool party, then you would contribute on top of that. Asking somebody who doesn't know Chris, isn't going to the tool party, and it's their first time to a LAN to pay $50 is ludricrous. Strunt, $15's gonna be bad enough. How much did Smackdown cost? And look at what you got there? There's no way we can compete on that scale.

I'm looking to get about 15-25 people at $10 to $15 a head ($10 for utter n00bs; $15 for us and you can give more if ya want). That'll rake in anywhere from $150 to $375 for the honeymoon alone. If 10 of those people are invited to the tool party at $30 bucks a piece, that's $300 for tools. Electric tools aside, that'll get you a fair amount (ie. wrench sets, hammers, screwdrivers, etc.). If you don't think so, lemme do the shopping and prove it to ya.

I'm not trying to rain on the parade here; I'm just trying to be realistic. We want to draw in as many people as possible here. Thus, we have to make the entire package as appealing as possible. We are, essentially, selling a product here.

If this is Chris's Batchular party why are there people comming that dont even know him?

I have a fealing the only way this is gona tourn out is in disater.

$50 is a grat price for a wedding gift man infact i have never spent less then that on a wedding gift, I feal that a wedding gift is different then regular gifts because it's never gona happen again (hope).

I say just our group man if its for chris, if theres people there that chris dont know hes gona be upset and probly leave.(you know chris)

This is for him, not us as the Jew says. We can have a Lan any time we want man but chris cant have another Batular party.

So by saying this party is for us just as much as chris is being selfish.Have the party for Chris then after if ya want to have a party for us then you can do that anytime you want, but let this one be for Chris.
