- Garmen - You start to tinker with the droid noting that you have already removed the fried power cell. The only way you'll be able to fix it is to find/adapt a new power source for the droid. Sellia scans through the information that you have collected, and suggests that it might be useful to upgrade the star charts in the navcomp.
- Ilon - Walking through the cargo hold of the Firespray, you stop to speak to Rava, motioning toward Garmen,
Rava replies,
When you reach the cockpit you take some comfort in seeing that nobody has entered yet, and you have a moment of peace... until you hear a whimper, and a thud against the wall behind you. No blaster fire ensues, so you sall over the comm link,
You switch to the intercom,
The moment you activate the AG you hear another thud, and a longer more depressed whimper. The Firespray easily rises into the air on the repulsor lifts, and then you head out of the hanger behind Camon and Kylin.
Kylin's voice comes over the comm,
Some information appears on the sensor screen, showing the asteroid field, and your hyperspace point.
- Nagta - You glare at a man sitting on the floor next to Athena, who is hunched over. Athena has the only seat in this end of the hold, but he's still too close. He begins to move out of the way, but not fast enough, and you help him to his feet and give him a shove into the cockpit wall. He hits with a thud, slides to the floor and whimpers. Ilon's voice comes over the intercom, then the AG field activates, and the man, who was trying to stand up falls to the floor and whimpers again. You sit down and glare at everyone.
- Rava - Ilon walks by,
and you reply,
He heads into the cockpit. You keep an eye on Garmen, but hear a thud behind you. Nagta has shoved a man into the wall. Ilon's voice comes over the intercom, and the man falls over once again. He doesn't look well at all, but it's doubtfull that Nagta is entirely responsible.
- Cale - You sit down in a very small patch of open space, as there are people all over the floor. Personal space is not going to be an option on this trip. You set your heavy gear on the floor and keep your weapons out of sight under the clothing. Nagta gets aggressive with one of the men,and you hear Ilon over the intercom, and the man is then thrown onto the floor when caught off guard by the AG field. He's a strange colour.
- Athena - You turn a blind eye, or perhaps an embarrassed face, away from Nagta as he torments one of the men who is catching a ride with you. After Ilon warns everyone to hold on the man is a little too slow to brace himself and falls to the floor again. You feel the AG field kick in and the ship begins to move.
- Kylin - You ask R4 to run a scan of your flight path.
R4's sensors skill is 3D. He rolls 10.
Info comes up in your forward sensors display, to your upper left. There are various dots, all white, representing asteroids. Your flight path takes you through a fairly clear space in the asteroid field, but the asteroids are interfering with your long range instruments and you can only detect objects a certain distance into the field. There is no sign of the ship that the men were speaking of.
You speak to the other pilots,
At your request, R4 brings up the hyperspace calculations. The trip will require 4 jumps if you follow the quick route of the usual shipping lanes (Hoth - Bespin - Varonat - Moorja - Corellia). Your exit vector is through the clearing in the asteroid field. The trip will take 8.5 days.
It seems strange that there is an opening in the field, when this particular system doesn't get a lot of traffic.
- Ka - You bunch up the lower part of your cloak and use it as a cushion. Having sat down against the wall you watch your guests. Nagta shoves one of them into the wall, and he falls over a second time when Ilon powers up the AG field, apparently he didn't hear Ilon's warning, or was too slow to act upon it. He is whimpering, and his face is a funny colour.
- Camon - You take off in your A-Wing and head through the hole in the hanger door, followed by Ilon. You hear him speak over the comm, and then you hear Kylin. Your sensors begin to show some data, showing the asteroid field, and a space marked as your hyperspace point.
The next post will be Wednesday, September 22.
- Ilon - Walking through the cargo hold of the Firespray, you stop to speak to Rava, motioning toward Garmen,
Keep an eye on Brainiac for me, I don't want him teaching the spray's computer any bad habits.
Rava replies,
We need this info out ASAP and I have a bad feeling if we dont things could get very harsh for us.
When you reach the cockpit you take some comfort in seeing that nobody has entered yet, and you have a moment of peace... until you hear a whimper, and a thud against the wall behind you. No blaster fire ensues, so you sall over the comm link,
Quick and easy, just the way I like it. Now lets get out of this freezer before my thrusters start to ice over.
You switch to the intercom,
You might want to hang onto somthing.
The moment you activate the AG you hear another thud, and a longer more depressed whimper. The Firespray easily rises into the air on the repulsor lifts, and then you head out of the hanger behind Camon and Kylin.
Kylin's voice comes over the comm,
I am transmiting Real Time Sensor data of the area to you, Prepare to receive.

I mutter to no one in particular that I need a new powercell for this droid or its nothing but a useless hunk of metal...
I then begins scavenging through the entire ship for anything that would work, regardless of the ownership (I lack social skills, I dont really understand the concept of personal property except when it pertains to me). If I dont find anything I find a datajack and plug in Sellia and begin upgrading the star charts.

to Rava: I grunt and say "you should be more concerned with what will be wrong with you if you question me like that again.... "
I start to make it visable that I still have my knife drawn however I make no more agressive moves for now

Gentlemen, we got 20 calls about the David Hyde-Pierce incident. And as you know, one call equals a billion people, which means 20 billion people were offended by this

Comm to the others:
"Does anyone else find that gap odd? It may be a ship blocking our scans. I have R4 working on it now. It is most likely nothing anyeay."
To R4:
"R4, cross check the reading that you are getting now with the information we gathered on the way in. Was that gap here before?"
I am going to put the X-wing in combat mode and incress to full speed towards our exit point.

- Rava - You get after Nagta for his unbecoming behaviour,
Walking over to help the man, and glaring at nagta,
Nagta looks steamed, and he lightly waves his knife to show he is armed,
You attempt to use medicine from a med pack on the sick man. Your First aid skill for humans is 4D. The man is wounded, this is an easy roll. You must beat 7. You get 14. The man's status improves to OK.
You hear Garmen mutter something about a power cell.
- Garmen - You mutter that you need a power cell, and then start going through the storage compartments in the ship to find a suitable replacement part. After a few minutes of searching you find an old tool, generally used for calibrating thruster manifolds for even output, with a power cell that looks like it could work, but there's no telling how reliable it will be.
- Nagta - You respond harshly to Rava's comment,
You wave your knife in a threatening way, but abstain from further violence.
- Kylin - You seek the opinions of the fellow pilots,
and then R4,
You lock the S-Foils into attack position and gun the throttle. R4's response appears on your CMD,
Your fighter streaks out of the atmosphere and into the void of space.
- Cale - While the events transpiring in the cargo hold are indeed interesting, you decide to hum to yourself and let the Jedi handle it. You notice, as everyone else does, that Nagta is not in a good mood.
- Ka - You keep an eye on Nagta. His personality does not seem entirely stable, and in such a small space with a long trip ahead of you, things will most likely be unpleasant.
- Athena - You sit there calmly as Nagta proceeds to add tension to the situation by his very presence.
-Ilon - You get a comm signal from Kylin, asking for your opinion about the unusual readings. You head along Kylin's flight path, and Camon, and the two pirate starfighters fall in as escort. You are approaching the upper atmosphere.
- Camon - You hear Kylin's question, and proceed to take up an escort position near the Firespray. You are approaching the upper atmosphere.
The next post will be Sunday September 26.

Thanks, that feels alot better. Our food stores have been getting pretty bad after all the time we've been here.

R4, cross check the reading that you are getting now with the information we gathered on the way in. Was that gap here before?
You lock the S-Foils into attack position and gun the throttle. R4's response appears on your CMD,
Negative. This gap is a recent development, and appears to be artificially created. The debris pattern of the area in question is showing much smaller fragments than the rest of the field.

I am going to replace my knife and I am going to start play with my claws flicking them out and retracting them looking bored and aggitated in my small surroundings

I look around at the people surrounding me and, trying to lighten the mood, ask those close by if they know any good jokes. I give off the impression of cheerful calm, but I keep one hand on my blaster under my clothes, and one eye on the psychotic freak sitting next to Athena.

I am going to say / yell (whichever is more apropriate) across the bay to Nagta "It's a good thing you put that knife of yours away. If you had been more aggressive with it you just might have lost your hand in the process"
I then just continue to sit as comfortably as possible in my seat, but continue to hold on to my light saber in case of trouble.

Ignoring the general mood of the crowd I shuffle back to the droid and being modifying the powersupply for splicing into the droid.

I help the man up and get him sitting ok... I tell him he should be ok but he might want to get some rest.. I then look up and try to find out what Garmen is up to (more or less acting like Nagta is not worth my time but keeping a eye on him just in case things get wose..)

On a Secure Com to the Others:
"R4 has confrimed that the gap is a new feature to this area. It might be nothing, but then again it might be our friends unwelcome guests. If it is a trap, I am going to attemp to spring it first. Rezzer, since you have a nav computer, could you plot us an alternate course out of here just in case?"
"Also, can you ask our new friends what race our enemies are from. It could be important."
To R4:
"R4, raise shields in the forward fire arc and charge and load all weapons. Keep a close watch on thouse sensors, I don't want to be caught flatfooted out here."
I am going to asume that there is an ambush waiting in the asterods around the gap. I would like to use my tactics to decide on the best course of action to take. When I get a responce on the question of the enemies race, I will factor it in as well.

I'll open a com channel to Kylin
"I don't like the looks of those readings, keep your eyes pealed for enemy ships."
I'll power up the weapons and angle the deflector shields into the forward fire arc.
I hit the intercom
"Does anyone back there know what kind of ship our pirate friends might be in?"
