I don't know about everyone else, but I'm not into paying $15 for a half-ass planned LAN party in a barn, especially when the organizer won't even be there for half the thing. Our LAN parties used to be about just the games. I for one don't need to win a prize to have fun. Have everyone chip in for the electricity and be done with it. Fuck prizes, go for glory only.

Bottom line:
- Pick some days that are good for most.
- Show up.
- Play games.
- Have fun.
- Screw "official tournaments" & prizes.

If you want to profit from a LAN party, follow this example, don't try to profit from your friends...

as for a London location, Me and Jon, and Mike and Andrew have the biggest places, but Nate and Gray don't pay for electricity. Where should it be? Vote Here!

I think the problem Matt was not that no one would call you, but that you called no one. If you were organizing it, you should have been doing the leg work, not expecting everyone else to do it for you. Im sorry to hear that the LAN is fizzling and I appreciate that you're a busy person, but planning a LAN takes more than just posting a few thread and waiting for stuff to happen.
