Gentoo Party Invite

Post by [PX]Kal Bob »

Hey Hey All
I have heard alot of interest about Gentoo, and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a installation party?

I know that you are all woundering, why a party for an OS install. Well with gentoo you can compile on multiple computer to make the install go faster. I am in the process of installing Gentoo on all of my machines, this will speed things up for you all.

Just a thought.

I would be interested in this as well. Hopefully my machine will be assembled by then.

Well Jew, I was hoping to get yours up and running first. That is if you are still getting the system that you were talking about. It would make things go alot faster.

Oh yah, I was right the formula is (N*2)+1

Parts purchased. I figured I needed a personal schedule to keep from getting distracted from finishing the project. Initial estimates almost guarantee dual 2.4 and hopefully dual 3.2 by mid next week. Hopefully, sooner.

lol, friday... It is in Windsor though. Really we can do it anytime I am home.

No one seamed interested while I was home for three weeks over christmas...

My new dual server will be replacing Romulus, this weekend, if the mail is not delayed. This is important because it will allow people to get use to a Linux desktop enviroment without installing it. I am setting up a remote X server system. All you need do is install a small client program.
