Physical Description:
Jolan isn’t a particularly large man, and he looks like he could use a lot of beefing up before he tangles with an Imperial stormtrooper. He is bald, and lanky, and has a goatee. He looks harmless enough.

Background:
Jolan owned a mining supply store before he joined the Alliance, but he was robbed by a group of young Rodians, and when he reported the crime to the local Imperial authorities, the stormtroopers that showed up robbed him even more, and proceeded to kill his daughter. When his wife fought back she was killed as well. Jolan snapped and single-handedly, broke the neck of all four stormtroopers in his shop without the benefit of a weapon. He suffered a wound to the stomach in the skirmish, but managed to shrug it off. The stormtroopers did not know that he has had extensive martial arts training, and was actually a sector champion. He then used several grenades that were on the corpses to blow up the store and fake his own death. The following day the Imperial Embassy was destroyed using what forensics droids determined were strong mining grade explosives. The Rodians who robbed the shop were thus implicated in the bombing, and the deaths of 472 Imperial solders, and diplomats, as well as 93 civilians who worked at the embassy. They were summarily executed. Jolan later joined the Rebellion and has been operating as a demolitions specialist ever since.

Personality:
Jolan was once a very caring and compassionate man, who held no malice toward anyone. Since the death of his family his sole purpose in life has been to kill Imperials. He has become cold, and even cruel at times, and has faced disciplinary action several times for actions unbecoming of an Alliance soldier. He is somewhat of a loose cannon, and if he gets it into his head to kill some bucket heads, he will. His knowledge of explosives is what had him assigned to this mission, as Alliance intelligence was uncertain about what sort of obstacles the rescue team would face. Ortomi Sarkin originally protested his assignment to the team, but later gave in to the demands of Alliance command.
