Special Abilities

Tracking: Time to use: one round. All Yautja are taught to track their prey from a very young age and are able to do so in a wide variety of terrains. At creation only, the character gets a bonus of 1D + 2 to add to the tracking specialization, in addition to any D already spent into the skill.

Infrared vision: Yautja use a form of sight that allows them to see by detecting heat variations from objects around them. Yautja gain a +2D bonus to Perception checks when searching for any warm-blooded creatures but gain a -2D penalty on those checks when searching for anything else without technological aid.

Cold-blooded: Due to their reptilian Physiology, Yautja are cold-blooded. This causes a Bonus of 1D to all Dex, Perc, and Str, checks when in a hot environment (Deserts/tropical regions). This also means that there is a –1D penalty to Dex, Perc, and Str checks when in a cold environment. (The penalty can be avoided with insulated armour or environmental gear.) In temperate climates there is no advantage or penalty.

You have gained that ability: Instinctive familiarity. This allows you to recognize when somebody is near if you have smelled them before. An easy perception roll will allow you to recognize exactly who the individual is. You do not have to roll for party members.

Species Bonus:
+5 to all Hide checks
+4 to all sneak checks
str + 3 for physical attacks with claws

Species conflicts:
Yautja and Wookies do not get along well under normal circumstances. They have accepted the fact that they must live in the same galaxy, and even tolerate each other in public, but they rarely like each other. This is due to the cultural difference of using claws for combat (as the Yautja do), or as tools, not weapons (as the Wookies belive). If a Wookie uses his claws to fight he is dishonoured and an outcast, but there is no more honourable kill for a Yautja warrior than to kill an adversary with one’s claws. Both species tend to see the other as being without honour, but there have been some instances of Yautja and Wookies becoming friends after facing a mutual hardship.
