Well this is just great.

I really like to see how frieds keep eachother informed. When myself and others had a idea for a large scale lan, we told everyone and got input on how the best way to run it was. Anyone that wanted to help we excepted.

Now the three of you are strangers to me, i really am surprized. Keeping something like this away from your friends, is shocking. Really how can we look at you the same way now. feeling like there are soo many secrets in our group, sickens me now. I have "NO"! secrets of this nature.

What would be the possible reason for keeping something like this away from you friends that could help you. Did you feel like you didnt want our help, or that mabye we were all too stupid, to help you.

Really i dont know how i stand on the three of you now, i realy cant tell if what you now say is the truth.

Can i trust you? i dont know, but i do know what true friends are like and this is not how true friends act.

My friend Matt says that he wants to have a mega LAN. Did I ever say that I didn't support it? Check here.

I signed up at the TM board March 25th. That's the first I heard of it. My friend Jon says "I want your help modding the board, but don't tell anyone, because I want this to be finished before I annouce it."
So I keep it quiet.

I don't see where I'm lacking as a friend to anyone.

I never bashed your lan or the idea, infact I am obviousally in favor of larger lans, we all know how much fun they can be because of Smackdown. Your acting like we had a big conspiracy to keep things from you...that can't be farther from the truth.

Basically it went like this. I have this idea in early January (after RNBD:NYE) of holding a large lan here in Kitchener, it's a big town and I figure there are enough people to support it. Basically for the next two months I just think about it, although I do start to put together a framework of a Website for the event. Around the middle of March I decided that this was somthing I was actually going to do and I thought I should tell you guys.
Now you post your Mega Lan thing. Some people (not all of us) had critisism's of the project and questioned if you can pull it off...so I decided to keep my idea under my hat until I have somthing solid to show for it, that way people might take it a little more seriously.
On the 25th, I figure I have things pretty together so I mention the idea to Bob and get Nik to help moderate the forum which at that point basically has no members...
Things started to get going and I decided last week that I would post about it in the Kalnet forum on Monday (ie. Tomorrow). Then Pinter finds the site and posts about it....which dosen't really bother me b/c I was going to post about it anyway.

As for your Lan, from the nature of your later posts you didn't seem to want any help, and I didn't really think that my plans would affect you, Kitchener-Waterloo is pretty far away from London or Woodstock, and I didn't think we would be doing things at the same time since you seemed to infer that your Lan would replace Redneck Beatdown. If you want to help out I am certinly interested, it takes alot of people to pull of a big lan like this.

As for not telling you stuff....It's not like I see you all the time. And if I didn't even tell the people I do see all the time (ie. my housemates) about it until the 25th then you shouldn't feel left out.

i would be more then happy to help out, im not talking for TSB or for Thumperup but maby we could combine the two lans into one. Just have the KWbeatdown lan and not do our little one at all. I would have to talk to the otheres involved first but they might be up for it.

If thy are up for it would you have any problems with us helping you out and shair in all the proffits?

Would we have a equal say in how things are run?

Or would we just be "help" and realy our say means nothing and you do what "you" want?

theys are just questions, nothing is writtin in stone. Im still upset that this was keped a secret for so long.

It just feals fishy to me that you are planing a large scale lan at the same time as we were. If you would have told us then we could have helped out sooner. We have started on our lan already. some equipment has already been purchaced for our lan.

as i said nothing is in stone yet. Thmuerup and TSB also have to agree on this aswell. Im not talking for them. If they decide that they still want to do our smaller lan then i will be helping with that one.

I never said that our lan will replace RNB, The Jew gave me the opertunity to do RNB this year though, and i still hope to do it.

I don't think that there is any need for you to cancel your lan if you don't want to.

Suggestions are always welcome, this of course does not mean they will always be acted upon.
I am sure we will need lots of help running this thing. For people who want to help with the setup, teardown and the actual running of the lan and what not we can come to some kind of agreement about financial compensation, a reduction in the entry fee (or equivilent payment if you don't want to actually participate in the tournaments), etc...
If you want to be more involved then that, pm me and we can talk about it.

I don't see any reason why both Lan's can't happen, especially if you have already started buying equiptment.

you do realize that at $40 a head, x300 people is $12000

now thats alot of $

im shure that prizes, rent for hotell and all other expences will not go over $5000-$6000

thats $6000-$7000 proffit.

wheres all the $ going to go?

Well, as I understand it, it's $30 a head when you pre-register. You're also pressuming he hits full capacity on his very first LAN. Don't forget the negative "profits' either.
