It's so cool to see them finally getting the scramjet engine to work. I remember reading about this technology years ago but at that point it was all theory and specualtion.

The first test of the X-43A in June 2001 ended in failure after a malfunction in the booster rocket attached to the test vehicle forced NASA scientists to blow up the plane.

That must have sucked.

Yeah, I remember reading about scramjets back in the early 90's.

Well, if it all is dependant on the budget we'll never see warp speed.

NASA only spends $3 million a year on that.

If I recall, A scramjet test was conducted successfully in the Australian outback last year. A university was responsible for everything and they did it on a relatively small budget..

Interesting to see others getting it to work though.
