May 24 LAN

Seeing how no one really knows what's going on, here's this thread:

1). Where do you want the LAN?
2). When do you want the LAN?
3). What do you want to do at the LAN?
4). How do you want it run?
5). ANY suggestions.

Basically, we know what the soon-not-to-be-bachelor wants; what do YOU want, though?

Well, if bob can have it ready. I would like a web page to register on. The page would include your name as well as the 2 games you would like to have a tournament for, and the type of tournament. I think that we should stick with the usual tournament format and go from there. I cant think of anything else really. LAN location should have enough power and space for everyone (I intend to invite a few people from school that I know would enjoy it). There shouldnt be any network problems because of bobs server, and the setup which will probably be handled by Bob, myself, Jason and probably Jon. I cant think of anything else.

As of now, things (aside from the entrance fee) planned are:

1). 1 or 2 tournaments (style left up for debate)
2). 2 fun crazy tournaments (you'll know when they're announced)
3). dedicated servers that you can set up
4). D2 (it's been requested so much by Chris and since Homey J has also fallen to the dark side, I'm sure he'll be an @$$ and voice support.........I can say anything........ANYTHING.......about Homey J and not have to worry cuz he never reads here......that CHEAP CAMPING LLAMA!!! **bliss**)
5). mucho variety of games (delete all yer pr0n, boys; yer gonna need to do some installing)
6). set up the day before
7). BBQ, microwave, fridge, etc. (cook yourself a good meal, fer pete's sake)

D2 is the dark side? Then I was once blacker than midnight. As long as its not cheap cheating trainer crap where every monster drops hacked uniques.. as i think Chris is fond of (that's what's on whenever i've seen him play it)

A date would be appreciated. Very soon, else I'll have other, more work-oriented plans, and i'd hate to miss fragging your sorry (JEW excepted) arses.

Aside from that, as long as there's enough power, chairs, and drinks for everyone it's good by me. A registration page would be cool. I was looking for info on the site, but course there wasn't any... everyone's like "see you at the 24" yet there is no definite date, place, or schedule?

Seeing how this is pretty much dependent on Chris, would some one phone him and post his answer. Ask him if he wants it on the holiday (17,18,19) or the 24 weekend. Or just ask him if he works on the weekend of the actual 24 (does he work saturdays?).

Cuz if he doesn't work saturdays, having it on the actual 24 might work out best. I dunno what my summer class schedule is gonna be, though.

i sudgested a projector projecting porn all night long(not hard core just girls stripping and shit) but then Thumperup said that chris would leave so that idea is out of the question. I realy have no problem with D2 but i agree with no hacking shit that suxs.

Hmm tournament shure im shure there will be the always Q3 tourny but i sudgest a UT2003 and HL tourny aswell that would be fun fun fun.

Location hmmm what about the Lan House, If theres gona be more then like 10 people it cant be held at my place.

Hay I was wondering if you guys were interested in a very large Lan like upwards of 50 people?
Just wondering i have been looking into it.

You can play all the D2 you like, but you know what. Im sick of it. I played it for a good chunk of my life and I cant stand it anymore. Its really not that fun for me and Im not gonna waste the time installing it on my HD.

As of now, the 24 LAN is at my house (better power when properly wired, BBQ, pool, space, ease of setup, etc.). So pr0n is out unless you can convince my Mom and you guys supply your own (Pimpin Matt, if you can convince my Mom to condone pr0n, there's $20 in it for ya........good luck). Tournaments are up for debate (style and game). It must be determined by the end of April, though. I'll post a poll later this week.

Please, someone please phone Chris for the dates and post it here. This is critical to all future planning.

Has anyone phoned Chris yet? Or has anyone talked to him lately? This is almost just as much your LAN as it is his. If ya wanna good one, you too will have to put in a bit o' work. All I need is Chris to nail down the date and then we can plan from there, but THE DATE IS CRITICAL.

Unfortunatley, the only thing getting projected on the wall will be Quake or UT matches. If the lan ends up at J's place then no porn will be allowed.
