Now I know Jason will appreciate this, but I'll share it with the rest of you too. So im at my local mall, and I stop in at the EB to see what they have. Im browsing away throught the used games section and I stumble upon an original boxed version of Quake. I check out the price, expecting $10 or so, but It wasnt. It was $2.99. Naturally I picked up this little piece of gaming history and walked away laughing.

Any more? I always buy Quake when it's less than $10. I'm trying to tell id that they should make the sequel to Quake rather than Quake II (ala Raven project Quake IV). If they're still any copies left, grab me one or two. That, and it's nice to have them as collectibles in the original packaging.

On a side note, I recommend trying out tenebrae, telejano, and fuh quake for your open source quake engine enhancements.

Summary:

-quake with the lighting of doom III

telejano
-took tomasz quake and expanded it

fuh quake
-many enhancements plus a built in mp3 player

So many flavours, so little time :mrgreen:

No im affraid that there was only the one copy. Sorry Jason. If there was more I would have bought them on principle, but no luck.
